Noticed they’re 15% off today, so might jump on them :)

It's a wiring bundle that allows the headlights to interface with your OEM equipment. If your truck came with OEM LEDs you're gonna need a pair of them. A pair will be around $100.

Certainly. If I could beat the 15% off shipped price to you I'd do it! It's a good deal.

From what I have read and seen on other threads talking about headlights; I am almost certain it connects existing LED harness (if equipped) from the factory to the new Morimoto harness. I’m not entirely sure since I didn’t have factory LED. Maybe @Headlight Revolution can chime in. That’s where I got mine from.

Yeah I messaged them earlier but didn’t get a response. Went ahead and bought it though since they had a sale that expired today. Hopefully I need it.

the gen 2’s come with all the wiring you need for either halogen or led factory. Nothing additional is required.

If you don't have LED DLRs / turn signals you will need the non LED relay, it replaces the chip board that is outboard of the fuse box under the dash. At least that's how it works on my 2016. Huge improvement over stock and worth the money if you drive at night.

That non DRL relay is now included in the wiring harness with the gen 2’s check out the video from headlight revolution.

Just my luck, I've had the gen 2s for about a month and I had to order the relay. Oh well, I'm still glad I got them. PS got them from Headlight Revolution.

I bought the Gen 2 and the harness. So I guess I don’t need it? Can I return it? I spoke with headlight revolution and they said I needed it?

I'm not sure where you're getting that the XB adapter is included from that video, but I am also now wondering if people are talking about 2 different parts...
    • The part I was referring to is part number LF532H which is the XB adapter harness that will be necessary (2 of them) for any 18+ truck that came equipped from the factory with LEDs. This is the "C"-shaped LED ring that goes around the outside of the housing and the full LED emitters for low/hi beams.
    • The part that I think folks may be getting confused with is part H135. This part (as I understand it) is for those trucks that use the turn signal bulb as part of the DRL array. This could be for those that have just the bottom LED bar and not the full C-shape, those that don't have LED DRLs at all, and I have even seen some trucks that use the C-Shaped LEDs as the DRL in conjunction with the turn signal. My scenario ('21 Limited Crewmax) uses ONLY the C-Shaped LEDs as a DRL which leads me to believe that I do not need this part. I personally have no idea what the truck combination has to be to drive each scenario. Either way, this part eliminates the turn signal being used as a DRL which wreaks havoc on aftermarket headlights.
Either way... I have a set ordered and coming eventually to swap into my OEM LED equipped Tundra. I added the harnesses as I am 99% sure that I need them. I shall have more details when everything arrives!

Ok I stand corrected. I contacted HR to clarify what’s needed because the video suggests it’s all PNP. For OE halogen that uses the same bulb for DRL and turn signal, the relay is needed. The relay replaces existing Toyota relay behind drivers side kick board. Hope this helps someone. It helped me and I had to order the relay. It’s about $70

I have seen where it's said that the amber color only looks good on certain colors of trucks. Do you think the morimoto gen 2 amber would be a good fit for a red TRD PRO?

Also for those who have had both, would you recommend morimoto gen 2 or factory LED headlights? Pros and cons of both excluding the price, thanks.

Is your red the Barcelona red or the Orange Inferno? As far as Morimoto or OEM leds, it's really personal preference to a point. The OEM leds are reflector housings and the Morimotos are projector housings. They are both good lights.

OK so you have the Barcelona. You're in luck for pics. I have the white DRL on my truck and the amber DRL on the wife's 4Runner...both are Barcelonas. The amber is really visible during the day.

Get PPF installed on them so that they don't haze.

The amber is looking really nice to me, expecially on the red! Does anyone know if the morimoto gen 2 has a better low beam than factory LED? By looks I am leaning toward the gen 2's.

I currently have a black factory looking led set. They were like $350 and looked good but the low beams suck, one is burned out and they are less than 2 years old. I know, I know they were knock offs and I got what I paid for.

The video on Headlight Revolution actually shows a comparison between the Morimotos and the factory leds.
