Well Robert.. Someone above in this very thread posted asking what were people's thoughts were on the Alpharex tails so I was simply posting my thoughts and experience with them in hopes it helps him and other whom are reading this thread for LED tail light help. I hope you have a better understanding now as to why I posted that in this thread.

I didn't connect your post with that post. Yours sounded like you were looking for assistance. I was trying to help you by having you reach out to an audience that knows about your tail lights. If you quote or tag the user it's easier for people to follow. I hope you get yours working, the Alpharex products look pretty decent.

Vleds is working on a setup like this using the V6 Triton system and will use both bulbs on each side as brake lights and turn signals.

The more I look at them they do get a little better. Hopefully the tundras are better... but it is nice to see they are carrying the sequential to the rear. Hasn't been done yet

But I'm willing to bet the tundras won't be too far from those

Man, no love for the 4Runner booty here :( haha I know they aren't everyone's cup of tea. Full honesty I wasn't the biggest fan of them either but they started growing on me, I just had to see them in the wild more often. I wouldn't worry about them looking like the 4Runner tails though. :spy:

So you're saying we may need time to really like them? Maybe it's time to post a picture so we can get used to them and love them by the day they're released :spending:

Haha :D I don't even have a photo handy sadly. These taillights are still a ways out yet so I wouldn't be waiting for a launch in the immediate future, I'm just saying don't think Morimoto forgot about the Tundras.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but I do believe they have to be the way above to satisfy federal vehicle laws for the minimum measurable candela light output when sequence is initiated. If they lit up how the headlights do that initial single bar would have to satisfy the minimum brightness federally and it seems that first bar does not.
    OR
It could just be they thought this looked different then normal to help make them stand out amongst the crowd.

Yeah, makes sense as I see it with the Audi A's and Ford Mustangs. But they could do the same as them and create some kind of border light like the aforementioned brands.

Haha no we are not AlphaRex, we only are a retailer of theirs! We just carry their products on our website, same as Baja Designs, Vision-X, KC Hilites, Diode Dynamics, ETC. :)

Hard to say, because we don't know what the Morimoto's are going to bring to the table.
