Morimoto Tails... When will Tundras have availability?

Some of you guys crack me up complaining about waiting over a year for tail lights when you're driving a 14 year old Tundra.

Didn't CBI just release a rear bumper for the Tundra? I know people were waiting for those and they've had "7" years to perfect it for BSM.

What a coincidence. Its been a while since ive checked in on this thread and while ive been so focused on building my FJ, today I randomly wondered if there was any news about these morimoto tails and voila, an update today!

Sign me up for sure on the red tails. Any idea on the pricing?

 

I hear their Studebaker line is almost ready for release.

Yea, twice the price of every other aftermarket tails. They lost most of the people wanting tails with their dead man’s silence and lack of taking customer feedback. In the end, they’re falling back and punting with the Taco tails.

 

Red actually looks pretty good. I wish the inside wasn't so busy. It just screams aftermarket. Still curious to see some more pics and vids, however.

 

Go to HR's site and pull them up for the Tacoma. The video will show the exact functions that the Tundras will have. I received that info directly from Morimoto.

Man, they just can’t get their act together. Their communication to the public is a mess.

 

i run morimoto heads and fogs on my 08. for tails, i went with recon because morimoto doesn't have a solution. closest thing i could find from a quality perspective based on reviews.

 

2022 platinum or 1794 has sequential. buy a whole new truck to get the lights

Look at post #260. Morimoto confirmed that they are the same style and functionality as the Tacoma XB's.

 

I did see that, I just don't know if they decided not to produce them or, don't have a clue to what their company is doing. I love the XB headlights I purchased but am now questioning their business practices.

 

I love my 2016 and read that they shrunk the interior, I'm 6'4" with a 40" inseam, so, smaller cab = less leg room, that ain't going work for me.

 

Yeah some of their reps are clueless I think. I had an email stating the same thing that you received and then a few months later they said by the end of '21.
