I saw on your cold start video on IG today. Sounds really good! How does it sound under load? I’m debating on the cut and clamp they offer but worried it might be overwhelming in longer drives.

Thanks man! From my understanding the cut and clamp is quieter than the full exhaust. But the full exhaust on mine sounds a bit better than the cut and clamp IMO. It's throaty and fairly loud when you really get on it under load, but I'm also pushing 37's so the truck is under more load than most. I think it's the perfect sound and exactly what I was wanting. Cruising on the highway it's much quieter and not bothersome at all for me. Hope that helps!

I love your build I keep on looking up on your IG it’s awesome your the benchmark for my build. The height is perfect it’s not too high. Are you running the same height like when you were running the RC 1.75?

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah it's sitting about the same as the RC level kit still. Going to be adding some weight to the bed soon so it'll be getting a slight more adjustment in the front.

I'd like to hear more about the kings and UCAs compared to spacer. On road, off road, anything helps as I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on one or the other

Man they're much better all around. On road, everything feels softer than the stock suspension. Offroad it handles big bumps and washboard roads much better than the factory rebound settings. I love how you can really dial in the ride to your weight/preference on every corner if you get the adjusters.

Thank you! RRW makes some awesome wheels, I couldn't be happier.

That's great to hear. So many shocks are valued for huge hits at the expense of on road and shatter dirt roads. Sounds like yours strike a happy medium. Thanks and great build.

I think they're a great happy medium! I will say, Kings IMO are valved stiffer than the Fox DSC on my 4runner. Fox makes a really comfortable shock but who knows when they'll actually release something for these trucks. People have spoken with Fox reps and sounds like they aren't even going to start working on anything until beginning of 2023.
    Such a sexy color combo!

Sorry I haven't been posting a whole lot but quite a bit has gone down on the truck with a lot waiting to go on! Last week we got the brand new Smartop bed platform installed. This thing is absolutely amazing and I'll get some better pics of it soon! Really well built, 550lb dynamic weight capacity, slotted M8 rails to mount whatever accessories you can imagine on it and different gas struts so you can open it with whatever load you have. You basically get the utility of a roof rack and the security of a locking bed cover. Got some goodies coming from Front Runner for some accessories and coming Wednesday we'll be adding some more weight to it.

Stay tuned, got some installs going down through this week on some exciting stuff!

Got around to installing the Anzo headlights a couple nights ago. I know people will hate, but Anzo has really stepped their game up. Build quality appears as good as OEM. For me, the headlights on my Limited have been awesome and I'd say these are every bit as good. DRL can be white or amber and is extremely bright during the day. Sequential turn signals and startup sequence are very nice touches as well.

Are you running 700lb springs or 650 on your king setup?

Says on your mod list that you wrapped the chrome pieces? What wrap did you use to match the army green? I haven’t seen a match this good!

Amy more info on this smartcap? Cost? Looks similar style to diamondback. Looks nice! I’d like to make something like this in my shop but with little kids the shop time is few and far between

Sorry this was referring to the chrome door handles and trim surrounding the windows. As far as the front and rear pieces, I paint matched those myself
I believe it's somewhere around $2200 shipped to your door! It's really well built, you'll love it.

Yep I did. I removed the pieces, roughed them up with scotch-brite, 2-3 coats of primer, 4 coats of paint, 4-5 coats of clear. I'm no professional, but I've done some automotive paint before and have a decent spray gun. I believe there's a company out there that has paint matched paint in spray cans.
Yeah you'll need to cut the front bumper pieces, trim some mounting tabs you don't use anymore off the bottom of the grille and then cut the fender liners. It's a pretty involved process for the install as a whole.

Realized I’ve been slacking a bit on some of the updates that have been happening. Got a 4x4 Colorado Alto Mini all mounted up to the Smartop platform. This is their current version but will be replaced with their all new full aluminum shell in a couple of months. This one will include a diesel heater port. Super excited to get out and use this bad boy.

    F3FB992E-EBCF-4C0E-854D-14AAF30E1FAB.jpg

We used the Front Runner attachments for mounting. These are a quick release mount which will be super convenient for taking it off and putting it back on.

    5CADC9BB-BB2A-4E06-A3AD-EE87D8A9188E.jpg

Swapped the gas struts so the Smartop still opens with ease and stays open.

Truck just got back from Lil B's Fabrication with my new bumper. Decided to go with the no bull bar option to keep things nice and clean. Couldn't be happier with how things turned out. They've really refined the design so everything fits much better now.

Go ahead and check out my little walk around video of the truck with Mtn Yotas. Highlighted all the big pieces of the build and we'll be documenting the next few mods on the way as we install them!

Recently made the trip up to RCI Offroad in Loveland, CO to get the rest of the underside protected and some sliders on the truck. Can't speak highly enough of this team. The facility is absolutely gorgeous and the engineers nailed these designs.

We installed sliders, lower control arm skids, full gas tank skids and a rear differential skid to compliment their engine, transmission and transfer case skid with cat guards that I've had on the truck. The coolest thing about the sliders is the tread plate is easily removable if you want to run the tubular look.
