I did exactly the same thing on my 2016. My 2019 came with the lower profile ones already installed. Those aren’t bad… and I like them with bigger tires and more offset.

Not a mod ... but worth mentioning.

If you have to replace a rear brake light assembly, get OEM. I tried to save a few $$$ by getting non OEM, and moisture got in it the first time I went through a car wash.

I would skip the TC uppers, Solo lowers, King OEM and just put long travel in. Still might.

No, I didn’t do anything yet to the bump stops. It’s on my “to do” list. I don’t do any major off-roading other than play on a rock or bank to see how the suspension flex.

    99% of aftermarket wheels.

If they’re not forged, or bead locks you’re just wasting money on an inferior product compared to the OEM.

Nice setup for on board air. That is something I want to do, with a fifth coupler beside license plate to serve a hose for trailer. I already have a good Viair compressor from my jeep days in Arizona.

I feel your pain. We need to start a support group for people that can't remove flares because of scratches.

The guy I bought mine from had them installed and I thought I would just be removing them day one. They are scratched in as well. Been searching for some lower profile ones that will cover the scratches. In the meantime I did end up getting some spidertrax spacers which helped a ton with the look.

Not sure if you will like or be able to benefit from the EAG low profile flares, but I have them in black and like them on much more than off. Only thing is, order a roll of flare gasket/trim to go with them to get a better seal. The gasket included is just a c channel variety and it doesn't have the ability to seal up against the truck fender very well. Once the crap is glued on to the flares, it's not easy to get it back off.

Hahaha probably 10 years ago I had a friend with an S10 and had a large 2x2 square stock drag block welded to his front crossmember.

One day it broke off and bounced right up into the transmission pan. Huge hole all the fluid gone and truck broken down on the side of the road.

Looking back now he was kinda of asking for that…

This ended with us putting a transmission pan, we bought for $20 from a local mechanic, on the truck in a movie gallery parking lot. The good old days.

Do your homework, watch some videos. Some bad things have happened before due to power issues and all throttle response was lost in heavy traffic. Check out the Banks pedal monster.

Getting in to modifying vehicles as a hobby. That was a very expensive mistake.

Truthfully though, listening to 99% of the people on forums. Diesel, gas, import, domestic, don't matter. 99% of the stuff forums tell you you have to have to perform "xyz" task or that you have to monitor "abc" for whatever reason is a waste of money, especially on a stock vehicle. I've wheeled with enough stock vehicles to know that the best mod is a driver until you get in to some truly serious terrain and that if your vehicle is stock that there is enough of a dumb factor built in to these things that if you'll just drive it like a normal person and stay within the parameters set in the manual, you'll never have an issue.

Anymore these days, a nice sounding muffler, a good stereo system, slightly bigger tires, and a tune to fix the factory mush, and just drive them.

    Until I get bored.

Then it's headers, gears, intake, suspension, wheels, tires, shift kits, torque converters.

there's also the issue that the damn thing doesn't know you are in reverse.

Ah, so it gives it too much throttle in reverse? I can see how that would suck.

It doesn't really do anything that you can't do yourself for free. If you want the truck to be more responsive, push the tow/haul button. If you want to get better gas mileage, drive slower.
