Good luck, old parts of any kind seem to be getting harder to locate

Used up the rest of my welding gas and materials to make the “rear seat” section and more body mounts

Sorry guys i started a new job turning wrenches two weeks ago so I haven’t really had time to mess with the Jetta!

Its also getting a little cold for my liking to be working outside.

Also planning on putting my house up for sale so who knows what will happen!
My woman’s father owns a small transport company and already told me he’d ship my project anywhere we go.

if the rain holds off tomorrow I plan to do a little work on the old girl.

Ok so it stopped raining for long enough to get some holes cut in the main body rails. Obviously all my drill bits ended up going to work so once again im stuck until I grab tools Monday.

Progress is going to slow down for sureF18D64EC-4EF5-4C0C-9013-E0D9AEFDED01.jpg

Well guys, I hate to do this after building so much anticipation but my house goes on the market Monday, and the Jetta will be tarped up and sitting at a neighbors house until I can figure out how to get it to my new home (hoping to be in Winston Salem area of NC by January)…..

This thread may fall to the wayside but I swear I’ll be back to update when I get going on it again.

so until then here’s the last pic I took of it 3B774174-8293-4F5C-AB97-5D0B6B7D31FB.jpg

Too funny. I used to sell aftermarket goodies to that crowd back in the day. Before the dollar tanked against the Euro in the early 2000s. Will have to see if I can dig up a pic or two of last MKII. Reading through the thread brought back some really good memories.
ABD, Plain Wrap, Parts4VWs and a couple more undergrounds in Riverside.

Wouldn't you know it. Go to pull up pics on my external HD....dead. Long weekend and I will see if i can find a pic of that old POS.
