I just bought a 2014 Tundra CrewMax Limited and it is missing the factory radio. Can anyone tell me how to determine the original, it looks like there are 2-3 different options. I see Entune Plus, JBL, Premier.

The bezel around the radio area is silver and here is what I know from the build sheet. Is there a way to determine from the VIN?

Radio: Entune Premium Audio w/Navigation -inc: AM/FM/HD Stereo w/CD Player, MP3/WMA Playback Capability, High-Resolution 7" Touch-Screen Display, Auxiliary Audio Jack, USB 2.0 Port, iPod Connectivity And Control, iTunes Tagging, Traffic And Weather, Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone Capability, Phone Book Access, Voice Recognition And Music Streaming, Entune App Suite Includes Bing, iHeartRadio, MovieTickets.com, OpenTable, Pandora, Yelp And Facebook Places; Real-Time Info Including Traffic, Weather, Fuel Prices, Sports And Stocks, SIRIUSXM Satellite Radio, 90-Day Free Tria

The speakers will be labeled as JBL if you have that setup. And if that's the case you have the jbl premium.

Are you trying to go back to stock?

Thanks for the post. I think it's just the regular then as I don't see any JBL labels. I was looking at just getting a stock unit from ebay or something to get the NAV, backup camera and stereo all working the easiest way.

There is a lot of good priced Sony, Kenwood, and alpine units that are made to fit that location that can add navigation, camera and more. They would also help out in the sound department

Crutchfield is a good place to look and see what fits and get an idea of what you will need for components.

I would go aftermarket. If you are spending $, just to aftermarket as they are so much better. Personally, I would consider a stock unit if it was free...I would not spend any $ on one. I have etune plus...is nothing to write home about. I have to have the bass all the way up for it to even sound ok.

The only problem though with the aftermarket is that there is not a single radio that I can find from a top tier maker that has an actual Volume Control Knob instead of electronic buttons on the screen?

If there was I would have to Tomorrow probably!

    Welcome from NY.

Go aftermarket, check out Crutchfield for the radio and install kit.

If you want to go back to the stock radio most every Tundra radio without JBL would work. Check the market on this forum. Members are always swapping out their headunits for aftermarkets. You will probably pay 200-300 bucks.

If I were keeping the truck for long term I probably would add an aftermarket unit and some extra speakers under the rear seats. But I won't have it long enough to make the investment worth it.

Good idea. I saw them starting around $300 on ebay from salvage yards
