Nothing derailing since everything goes hand in hand. You alter the the front you then you compensate for the rear. Visa versa applies here. All "rails" need to be addressed. Can't hurt:thumbsup:

I had some people on here recommend the camburgs with the MOOG ball joints. So I went with those.

idk much about trucks and truck parts, this would be my first truck. Previous car was 3 series 323it. Like it a lot, but my work needs required a truck.

Little update, ended up changing plans a bit. Went with the fox 2.5 IFP upfront, kept the rear leafs stock. I have little over 1” rake towards the rear, and probably a bit more once they settle, which is what I was looking for.

Spent the weekend working on the front end and threw on the 2.0’s in the back as well. Ride is better, and Definitely noticed the added caster with the Camburgs.

Andrew....let me know how you like the setup. I've ordered the Fox 2.5 DSC coil-overs with the Camburg UCA for the front and 2.5 DSC for the rear. I'll be running Method 18" w a +18 offset on 33s for now. Will likely move up to a 34.5" next year. I don't want a tall lift, just enough to run the 35s eventually. From what i understand, I may need to add a spring or different set on the rear for that. Considering the Icon options. I'll run the 33s for the next year at least.
I'll take any suggestions as well. My first time upgrading the suspension. My current (soon to be prior) Tundra came with the TRD setup installed. Cheers.

Yeah I’ve heard nothing but good things about the DSC’s. Only issue I’m facing now is rubbing the skid plate, which was surprising since I usually see it on wider tires and not 275’s.

besides that, I phoned fox while installing they said it’s about a 2:1 ratio for adjustment; so every 1” of threads is 2” of lift. I have my pass set to .68 and driver set to .73 of threads. And it looks like that^^

Those were 275/70/18. I just switched to 285/70/17 in wildpeaks

Yes sir, I found someone that sold them to me for 400 bucks. I sold the BBS wheels yesterday. They’re pretty neat.

the difference between the two sizes was the KO2 18” wheels were 33.2”x11”, wildpeaks are 33”x11.6”

    Wow! That’s a heck of a deal!

Good to know on the tire sizes. I recently purchased the TRD Pro Fox Suspension. My plan is to get a set of the BBS wheels and wrap them in 285/70/18 tires, which is a great size for that suspension kit.

However, I am toying around with the idea of installing the icon 51200 AAL so I retain towing capability. Adding that would maintain factory rake, but I was also hoping to reduce the rake slightly. I reached out to Westcott Designs about installing their front lift without the 1/2” spacer and they said it was perfectly fine. If I did that, total front would be 2.5” taller than factory and rear would be 1.5” taller than factory.

I keep hoping I will find someone on here with a similar setup so I can visualize what it will look like but everyone seems to go with bigger tires with a similar lift.

I plan to do more city/highway driving and towing than off-road, so I don’t want a bigger tire than the 285/70/18.

Your truck looks great, how much is it lifted in the front/rear? Not sure that was mentioned previously. If so, I missed it.

I have stock rear ride height and about a 1.5 in lift upfront, which still has me at about .7” rake towards the rear. Imho the 285/70/18 would be too skinny/small for a higher lift. Not only visually but mechanically too, that higher center of Gravity with skinny tall tires and the +60 offset will contribute to cornering instability.

I see lots of people run 295/70/18. On the pro wheels and they look good. If you wunna stick with skinnier see if you like any wheels with less offset, poke them out a bit more.

The RW wheels have less offset and the tire is wider and tint bit shorter than the 18’s, and it was rainy to notice.
After all I have nothing more to say than my personal experience. If you go with you setup and notice some roll but like the look, you could always look into anti sway bars, esp the rear will make a big difference since you won’t off-road much.
I have the thicker TRD one upfront and noticed it just slightly on faster corners.

here are a few pics of it currently with the RW’s vs the BBS’s.

Great advice! Thank you for posting the additional pictures! This really helps!! I was considering 295/70/18 because of the width but was concerned about losing MPG's as well as potential rubbing issues. I may decide to go with the stock TRD Pro suspension setup and only add the 51200 in the rear if I really find that I need it. The RWs might be a better choice for me to add a bit more stability. Do you happen to know the offset and weight of the RW wheels?

Trd offroad/trd pro wheels are +60, RW wheels are +50mm.

Truck looks great! This makes me less worried about dropping from 305/70/17 down to 285/70. I am amazed how tall the rear of your truck looks being totally stock height in the rear but I guess my shell and decked drawers add some weight. Did you do anything to the rock rings or center caps on the RW wheels or were they just in good shape to start? Very jealous of the Red!

They were alright, I got the set for 400 bucks, so didn’t expect a pristine set, but was surprised how clean they were.

Just some slight scuffs on the wheel and ring, you have to get really close to see them.

I actually thought it wouldn’t go with the red for a while and contemplated selling them. But thought I mount some tires and see if I like them more than the BBS’s, if not I can still sell them for what I spent or more. Was really glad they matched the truck and they look neat with the falkens.
