Says 550 ft-lbs of nut busting torque. So I'd really hope so otherwise I think you have bigger issues to deal with.

There were a couple times mine couldn't take off some lug nuts but they were way over torqued by the tire shop. This is a surprisingly strong impact plus the small size lets you get into some tight spaces.

550 lbs should take most off lugs most vehicle, and I agree, if you can't take it off with 550lbs, you got bigger issues.
I think I have one that's also rated 550 lbs and it might slip a tad, which I am OK with.
Usually two three tries it comes loose...
Some shops do use air tools, which I am not sure how much torque, but am pretty sure it is tight as hell....

My son used to work at Discount Tire and all they used were the 1/2 18v Milwaukees for the tires. Boss told him to always use the highest setting when tightening the lugs and wait for 3-4 ugga-duggas before they stopped:eek2:

I'll teach you guys something about the TORQUE OUTPUT of milwaukee impacts and other electric impacts.

I spoke to a milwaukee engineer once. And he told me information that I've never seen mentioned in the manuals or in reviews.

We were talking about the 1/2" high torque impact. And he explained to me that if the impacts gave maximum torque the second you pull the trigger. That nuts and bolts would be constantly ripping apart. He explained that you have to pull the trigger and hold it without releasing, and that the torque ramps up 100ft/lbs every second. So to get max power put into a bolt you have to hold the socket straight and square, then keep holding the trigger, after 5 it starts ramping up the torque figure. He said to reach max torque with the 1/2" high torque, it's after 12 seconds of holding the trigger.

    The smaller impacts same principal.

To get max power you do have to hold the trigger and let the torque ramp up.

Buzzing it for 3 seconds then letting go, the buzzing for 5 seconds and letting go... is not how to get max torque. You got to hold the trigger for over 10 seconds.

The engineer said the software in the impact is designed to ramp up torque with trigger duration. If you let go. Got to start again.

Milwaukee 3/8 impact sockets feel nice.

But you can't go wrong with harbor freight sets

Also. The impact is stronger with the 5.0 and 6.0 m12 batteries. I know you got 3.0

But you would get more power out of the bigger batteries.

    There is a work around.
If you needed max power with the 3.0 charge them up to full. And the first 3 trigger pulls off a fully charged 3.0 battery would be their peak. Then switch to the other fully charged 3.0 and you'll get max power off the first few trigger pulls.

Put the first battery back on the charger.

    How do I know this?
Years of messing with milwaukee tools.

But the bigger batteries do put out more torque

Saw some shit on the news in los angeles today. Some guy had $4.5 million worth of stolen milwaukee and dewalt tools, from cargo theft. Los Angeles has gone to crap

Think the name of the suspect was Chinese.
I see a lot of these weird small time tool shops. They sell the tools the same price home depot does.

They are usually in the Hispanic neighborhoods , in mini malls next to 7-11's.
They sell to the illegal undocumented workers.

    The guy is Korean. Park.
TBH, cargo train theft has been so bad in the last few years that NS Rail basically refuses to even open cases that my previous company demanded because customers are coming back saying the seal was broken/re-sealed with no documentation, and some even have stuff stolen from the inside. With no case number(s) and no police reports, it is hard to justify where to place the blame and cost of recovery.
