Ya those things are awesome! I use one to power my fridge in the summer time. Sooooo much nicer to have cold water and Gatorade when you are working your tail off all day in 100 degree weather. In a hot car (back windows rolled down a little), it takes about 3 AH per hour to keep the fridge at 35 or 36 degrees. I like it cold else is run it at 42 and save some juice. Instead, I chuck a 12AH on it in the morning, then swap it out around lunch.

They also work great for laptops on road trips when you forgot to charge it, small projectors outside, and all that small stuff.

    Pay them off.

    Do it.

    DO IT.

    DO IT NOW!

The HD line of credit card is only good if you spend at least 10k a year there, IMO.

At Home Depot yesterday and was informed that if you purchase with the HD credit card then the return period is ONE YEAR - I need to determine if that is true and if it applies to everything.

That depends on who is working the register at the CS desk. Yes, it is true, but I've had to fight tooth and nail with some folks at the register. I had one manager show up and flat out refuse to discuss it or acknowledge my account and the correct return period. I would have had to escalate it to the store manager who was out for a few days and didn't bother for $40 in returns. That was around the time that they changed the standard return window from 90 days to 30 days so she was just trying to bully everybody who was "trying to take advantage of the system".

I do this pretty much with all batteries. Including my phone. If it dies in the middle of the day and I can't charge it til I get home or go to bed I don't see that as a bad thing. It forces me to have less screen time which is a bonus.

And like a few others have also said, I too keep my chargers and batteries in my house, not my shed when the tools aren't being used.

Edit: I can't believe I posted in this thread. The last thing I need is another addiction... And y'all ain't helping none. I just power read through the whole thread and have a giant list of excuses of why I need to start changing all my tools over now.

Could have used this yesterday when drilling my frame. Looks like I’ll be buying :annoyed:

Anyone have a lead on decent quality stubby drill bits?

If you don’t need the battery, even better deal… just return the battery when you pick up the order (or within the return window) and the driver kit is only $124

I love them! This makes the third one for me. And if you're a hunter that sets in cold weather, the hand warmer that's electric heated is awesome also. My kids have the heated jackets also and get a lot of use out of them.
