I put these on the - to be bought list.... anyone else try these ? how to they mount on the bottom ?

EDIT: looks like no drilling into the bed of the bottom mount - just a rubber stopper against the bed... see this vid for Tundra specific mount.

Everything is different. My understanding is the only thing carried over was the front sway bar.

I looked em up and the site says only 3rd gen years. I was considering getting them anyway and doing some modifications but I’m gonna hold off for now. Too many irons in the fire right now to add another project, even if it seems simple.

So what’s with Milwaukee not selling a metric nut driver/setter set? I see you can buy them individually over at acme. Am I missing something? I don’t use my 1/4” driver enough and sure would be nice to start utilizing it more for lower torque items

Because we still believe in Freedom Units! :woot:

Seriously, though, I never even noticed that they aren't available in non-freedom units.. I've always had cheap driver/setter sets since one or two fo the bits have a propensity for walking away. I'm told guys keep losing their 10mm sockets.. Not sure what that's all about. :notsure:

If anyone would like to piece together a set it’s item numbers:
49-66-4606 thru 49-66-4614 which gives you 6mm-14mm with the 2-9/16 shank

Ohio power tool has the majority of them. You’ll need to get the 10 & 13mm from acme or zoro, unfortunately. Set will run you ~$50. They’re all sitting in my cart; just trying to justify a “Buy with Apple Pay” click..

Really impressed with the blade cutters on these new to me 7 and 1 pliers.
Took nothing to remove the sheathing off this 2/0 Wire.
Slide in as far as it goes and rotate with hardly any pressure.
Now I have small bolt cutters and crimper too.
I didn't have cutters for wire like this.
I was about to buy some - why not - and then my son gave me the tip to use my Milwaukee angle grinder.
Put the free end of the wire in a vice, make it tight. Nice cut.

Now.. I'm hesitant to post this as I'm sure some of you guys are going to razz me for it.. I have a similar pair of wire strippers and I love them. A few years ago when we were doing some remodeling and running new copper for new stove, I assumed the breaker was off... and it wasn't. Cutting the end tripped it and threw a bunch of sparks leaving a decent burn on the stripper but I was completely fine. But they still work great!!!

I may or may not have a set.. several... sets.. of Klein strippers that suffered the same fate :anonymous:

Almost every single set was because I asked somebody else if the breaker was off instead of checking for myself. Now I learned to check for myself :)

@T-Rex266 - you have failed me. It is your responsibility to let us know about home Depot Milwaukee deals. I just got home from the office and see there are some Milwaukee buys today. Is the M18 Hatchett w/ Forge battery for $250 a great deal?

Tried this via chat on the website and in person with the store manager. No luck on a price match, basically was told those super buys are while supplies last and keep checking for upcoming holiday sales. The manager basically said don’t expect it to be $155 again :(

And you have more miles on your pair. My 2008 is at 210,000 with only 19,000 on my 2020.

On 12/30/24 I ordered from HD the mid-torque impact with 5.0 battery for $209. Shipping was delayed and I picked it up yesterday. Have not yet opened it.
Just saw the HD Pro weekly special of the same plus the charger for $189.
I will be returning the first to save $20 plus have one more charger that I can put in the emergency kit in the truck.

Then again - you can get the mid-torque, two 6 ah batteries and the 15mm random orbit polisher for $439. Decisions

It may be heresy in this thread but I don't bother with Milwuakee wrenches, pliers etc. Milwaukees does battry tools and storage the best. Other brands do the rest better. Channelock, Knipex, Klein, Wera, Gearwrench etc.

What do you all do about the chargers that come with every order? I have three already and don't have a use for another. Every deal comes with another one... recommendations? sell them? give them away? throw them in a box and forget about them? trash? lol

Found it after posting, you must have quoted me before I deleted the post :)
Fortunately I already have that mid-torque so have to pass on this one. I wish this was one of the deals where I could return a tool with the split receipt! I would like to pick up that 15mm throw polisher eventually though…
