I went there too and bought the assorted mini LP fuses. The lowest amp is 7.5 which I used it without good results now.
I looked on-line, but could not locate these damn 5AMT LP fuses....:annoyed:

I got them from Super Bright LEDs. They are waterproof big rig -trailer-clearance lights. i used 8 of them at 6 bucks each. they just fit into that bulge pocket and used some aluminum angle to mount them003.jpg 005.jpg 006.jpg

Looks good man! Did you just measure and drill your own holes to mount em?

Yes. Behind the plastic mesh of the bulge there are 4 'pockets'. I drilled the holes on its center and about 10mm from the edge. I inserted the 4 LED lights from the bottom into vertical position so they stand up. Wire connection is exactly the same. Then, attach everything back.
It's very clean look. The original mod I could see the inside of the truck when lit.

So, I am going to be doing this mod as well.. As for wiring, I want the LED's to be on whenever the amber driving lights are on. Which it seems like they are on anytime the parking b rake is off. So where is the best slot to connect my add a circuit? The IGN? TAIL?

Again, I want them on whenever the driving lights are automatically on. I don't want a switch nor have to turn my headlights on.

    Thank you!

Matte, I think the IGN would be a good place to try first if you wanted them on all the time whenever the truck is on.

Personally I would do it into the TAIL, that way you could have them off if you didn't want them on, but could also have them on without the headlights or with. On mine I wen't into the headlights because I was too lazy to route the wire all the way into the cab to get to the TAIL fuse.

Has anyone looked into dampening the light a little and making it a bit more "raptorish" so to speak. I like this mod a lot but I'd rather not have the LED's light up the whole underside of my grill. I'm thinking about going all "nerd" on this possibly modding in some flush mount LED's but once I cut, there is no going back.

I am considering trying to light up the whole area behind the top grill (hood bulge) rather than just 3-4 lights showing.
Not sure if this is achievable without making it look like individual bulbs. Thoughts?

Going to have to test out running a strip of LEDs and see what it looks like.

Kinda like this so the individual bulbs don't show.

Sounds cool, not sure how that would work either though. What color are you thinking about doing? Maybe some of the amber ones that vidman posted lined up next to eachother could give you that look?

I have done under the bulge. I did not like how the lights were showing behind the grill.
Even my wife (who usually gives me hard time) said the truck looks cool
