This is in beta testing(Tacoma) but so far I like it... tho the tundra does have capabilities of shore power it's needs remote settings too.

Tho this set up will be identical on both trucks minus the different solar array used. Tundra will use a flat panel (sheet) solar array still at 100watts..

100 watt (Italy made solar panel)
    Morningstar pm15.
10 awg (solar wiring) for solar to battery and panel. Not shown is the remote sensing the controller does..

This controller used, doesn't need to be disconnected when engine is running or starting.. Everything is done automatically when voltage is at specific voltage the controller shuts down and kills solar array till engine is shut down and controller will resume normal operation...

    6b4e224c59f00f7ddd8166cfb6aceff9_b45266611eac9824550114903e9b6f5dd01b8f64.jpg solar array

Controller.. it's floating when I took the pic.. battery is at 14.3 volts.. showing amps off the solar array used now..

    Edit added clarification..

Finally added the carbon fiber trim to the top and got rid of the rubber seal up there which looked bad...

Looks good...even on my second gen I have had to re-glue a corner of mine down due to flapping in the wind. The factory rain gutters just take a whoopin' in the sun.

I went with all pro design(ugh) . I was going to with white knuckle but shipping cost was too high for the east coast..

I will be pulling the welder out I'm going to do some custom work to it before paint and install.

I have the welder and gas and plasma cutter. the local metal supplier, I will stop by this week and do some paper and pen work.. I have something in mind..

But I really need to see them in my hands see how good or how poorly it's done and reengineer it some.

I'm up to date now. Sorry I missed that. Explains everything though. Guess my key fob is a collector piece already, heh heh. Hey, you've got to advantage of whatever comes up. Keeps life from getting too boring.
