Middle age is what you make it, I start living my 60th year in a few weeks... I stopped watching TV years ago, I almost never consume caffeine after 3 pm and I almost never consume a heavy meal after 8 pm. I get 7 or 8 hours of sleep every night in a cool dark bedroom, and I feel pretty damn good when I wake up.

Naah, not too much. Sleep can be elusive for the most of us. If I have a lot of things on my mind, no amount of medication will get me sleep. But if you know your body and what it needs, even with help from docs, you can learn to get the rest needed.

Congrats on the forever 49. If I had one wish, it would be not to hurt. Between my knees, my back and just about every other joint hurting..... my fault though, rode hard and put away wet too many times

I used to dog nap with the pooch at 15:00 every day while he was here.

Afternoon naps are great but really screw up my already terrible nighttime sleep attempts. I'm 56 and haven't slept well for about 35 years. Sucks.

I found a good mattress is the secret to good sleep. I used to be able to sleep in a wheelbarrow but now a super soft, crawl into bed and sink up to my eyeballs bed works for me

Back problems throughout my life led me to a latex mattress. I learned that you lay "in" the foam mattresses and "on" the latex. I like firm and lots of support. Worn out hotel beds really tear me up.

Have you purchased a Corvette yet? Highly suggest it, and then you know a mid-life crisis is upon you. Mine was at 38, and again at 50 in five years.

I think getting the Tundra AND building to an Offroad beast qualifies as my mid-life!! And yet I am living my best life yet!!

screen time like smartphones, TVs etc before sleep time is not recommended for getting a good night of sleep.
I like a good foam mattress and cool room.

Interesting story... a couple weeks ago my wife was at a memorial service and she sat next to my babysitter. She inquired about my wifes last name and then asked her if she was my wife. Small world

51 and don't feel like I've hit "middle" yet.

Although a metal hip and a bunch of metal in my other parts sometimes makes me feel 80. I'm still mountain biking, dirt biking in the mountains with the kids and still doing stupid shit. Sleep is just something else to deal with, no bed is comfortable anymore but I'm not going to stop living. I refuse to die on the couch. Suck it up and live life, none of us are getting out of this alive. And remember this, getting old ain't for sissies.
