I bought a set of TRD Pro Wheels and Tires on Facebook Marketplace. I sold the tires and had a local shop powder coat the wheels.

    Today was finally the day.

    IMG_6824.jpg

I immediately headed to the shop. We installed the wheels and tires, side steps, bed step, and exhaust.

I’d intended to put on the full skids, but left my cat wings at home and didn’t want to have to pull and install later.

Here it is as it sits now:

I got the camper shell mounted today.

    IMG_6905.jpg

    IMG_6906.jpg

I brought it home and took off the stickers/logos.

    IMG_6907.jpg

It’s a clean shell on a dirty truck, so the pictures don’t do it justice, but the paint match is spot on. I’m very happy with it.

I’ll get the camera relocation kit installed as soon as I have some free time.

Got the Binize Box installed in the glovebox and added the Disney+ app for the kids.

I installed the GG Offroad camera relocation kit this evening.

    IMG_6939.jpg

It wasn’t a complete nightmare because the Leer has a removable front window, but I’d strongly recommend doing this before you get your camper shell.

B&W Tow & Stow adjustable ball and locking pin to keep it from going missing.

    IMG_6947.jpg

Sometimes it’s the small stuff that counts. Being able to adjust height, from a 1-7/8 to a 2”, and fold out of the way is nice.

I’ll take it off if I’m going off-road, but it will live here most of the time.

    AJT Oversized Cup Holder:

    IMG_6955.jpg

The cup grip helped, but the size of the cup holders was too small to hold much of anything.

Made peace with the idea of drive through car washes for this truck. It isn’t a Lamborghini and it will likely spend its entire life outside.

Decided to go with some really nice US made PowerTye stainless ratchet straps with carabiner hooks.

    IMG_7031.jpg

I’ve gone through several packages of the cheap orange Harbor Freight straps over the years. They are a bargain, but the eventually rust and stop working.

Had ceramic tint installed. I did 20% on the front 2 windows to match the rear and 70% on the windshield.

Those wheels turned out great. I may do the same if I end up keeping mine. Black on Black is alright, but would like better with a little break up. I did the TRD bronze wheels on my 4Runner and it turned out great.

Tonight, I modified an oar holder for my retriever pole.

It looks like I need to install the tailgate gasket I bought next to keep the dust out.

I installed a color matched grille surround from Painted OEM Parts, C4 front bumper, Rigid Fogs, and a Warn Zeon 12-S.

    IMG_8251.jpg

Anyone hungry? This was up against the radiator with zero damage anywhere to the grille.

    IMG_8248.jpg

This how I ran the power to under the hood from the rear seat. I’ll have an easy way to hook up any future accessories.

    IMG_8271.jpg IMG_8270.jpg IMG_8273.jpg

    IMG_8280.jpg

The Rigid fogs required opening up the light holes, and slotting the mounting tabs. The Zeon 12-S is a very tight fit, but it went in with the removal of a couple unused factory brackets.

Thanks! I had them powder coated when I thought I was getting an Army Green truck.

When I realized I was getting Magnetic Gray Metallic instead, I thought it was going to look weird. It took a couple of weeks for them to grow on me, but I'm really happy with them.

NIce build! did you go with a heavier spring rate in the front to accommodate for the bumper or did you install the Fox kit how they come off the self?

I recently installed the SHW Offroard drawer system.

    upload_2024-7-9_21-19-59.jpg

It is very nice and exactly what I wanted. The drawers go all the way to the front and take full advantage of the 6.5” bed. The side flip up and allow for additional storage of smaller items. There is zero wasted space.

The downside is that it took twice as long as it was supposed to. It was quoted at 12-14 weeks and it was delivered in 28.

With the bed system, the truck is dead nuts flat when towing:

    upload_2024-7-9_21-18-3.jpg

I had originally considered running air bags, but it will be unnecessary.

When did you add the C4 rear bumper? Pretty easy install? Any plans to get sliders instead of body mount steps?

    Back in March.

    upload_2024-7-10_10-0-55.jpg

It’s way less work than the front bumper, but still takes several hours.

One thing I’ve noticed about this forum is people will straight up lie about how long it took them to install things, to the point of absurdity. Someone will come along and tell you they put theirs on in 30 minutes.

As to the sliders, I was going to go that route if someone made a set that extended to the rear wheels, but I am pretty content with the TRD running boards. They will never rust out, and allow my wife and sons to easily get into the truck.

I put ThrottleDownKustom front/rear bumpers on my 2012 Tundra. It was an all day thing, in January no less, and cost me a new phone as it slipped out of my pocket and was laying face down on the driveway under a shop rag and I stepped on it. I was wiring the license plate lights into the OEM light wiring around 930 or 10pm at night, so easily 12 hours with my youngest son helping.

The windshield is ceramic 70% tint. It looks great from the outside, significantly reduces heat, and takes a slight edge off the sun during the day. I still wear sunglasses when driving most of the time.

It might make a slight difference in visibility at night, but I don't think it's even noticeable.

I wouldn't go darker than this. I see people driving around with what appears to be 5% on the windshield and it's pretty obvious they can't see anything.

An honest man. :hattip:All in for both, I probably had more hours in it than that. The front took significantly longer because I added the winch at that time, and ran the power up under the hood(hybrid). The good news is, I'm about to pull it off again to install a light bar....
