hey guys I'm new to this forum and wanted to ask some advice on buying a exhaust system. I'm stuck between a Metal Mulisha exhaust or the AFE xp exhaust system. What do you guys think? I would like to have an aggressive sound but I also don't want to have that cherry bomb popping sound. I would like to hear my truck when it's on. So far i have heard the Metal Mulisha in person on a 5.7l but not the AFE. TIA

    Bamuffler...

But between the two above, not the afe for sure. They use too big of exhaust pipe from what ive read. Drops the low end tq. There is only one type of exhaust that doesn't drop low end tq and only one brand that you can actually find real dyno results on.

The mufflers should be a straight thru design, not chambered and the pipe needs to be the same diameter that toyota uses.

Bamuffler is the only system you can find real dyno results. The dyno results on the boxes of the big brands are complete fluff.

I haven't heard either in person. I am in love with the corsa personally.

Its also out of my price range, and if you go with a stainless bamuffler shipped its almost the same price, and it requires some extra labor, though most of us don't mind that.

I did call Dirty Deeds and spoke with the owner (I think Keith?) and he was very informative. I may go with his system or the corsa if/when I get the money.

You can call him or text. He is in California. I can tell you I was a little nervous because I'm in Texas and felt like sending my hard earned cash states away to a business I couldn't walk into was risky, but he is the real deal. Hundreds of tundras have his systems and love it. I researched and read every single word he had to say about how exhaust works for the tundra before I bought. I took 6 months before I decided. He makes several systems. I went with dual in, dual out, but the most tq and hp come from dual in, single out for our trucks. Hear is my build if you want to look at my system.

That behind said.... You could spend even less and get similar results. Just make sure you get a straight thru muffler design and not a chambered design, dual in, single out. Anything else will drop your low end tq. The only reason I went duals on my truck is because his system includes an x-pipe that stops the low end tq loss in combination with the bend in the trd pipes. Even a dual in single out with the pipe dumped after the muffler will end with that low end loss. Touchy exhaust huh....? Ha
