So we have 9 weeks to go. It's a literal hell on Earth for the foreseeable future here, but me and @JakeJake will make a recon run when we can.
Can we get a for sure going count so far so we can talk to the park about what we need to do?

I'm interested but this year will be hard for me to commit at this point. Maybe a last minute add on if I do make it. I have a lot of other travel scheduled between mid Sept and Thanksgiving.

I told my 4runner buddy, Cory, about it too. Not sure if he'll want to go, but he's cool. Casey has met him a few times.

 

Cory is good people. What about the rest of the hidden falls or barnwell crew?

i've got a communal kitchen, griddle/grille, sink, cleaning/dog water, cutlery... i wont hate cooking everyday, but i believe everyone needs the practice. I've got a coffee making pot, not quite a peculator; more like one of those little expresso pots, but bigger. If anyone wants to biy those 17's or 20's i have, i might be able to get an isolator, 'house' battery, and inverter to run 120v stuff. Right now i have 12v run to the bed.

i usually run 2 coolers, one for drinks & the other for food, but they aint yeti's. If someone has a yeti we can pack it full of ice.

i didnt wanna pay for merus, so i drove through palo duro canyon. Pretty nice sitting in ac, i think it was the first week of march & hot & dusty. And i hadnt drank any freshwater for 4 days.

 

Bring me a machaca burrito from El azteca in La Mesa if you do!

 

I probably shouldn't have let this thread get to two pages before I participated, but here I am!

My shop (not as cool as you think) will be available to anybody that needs to do maintenance or repairs before or after the event. I will have an ongoing project scattered about the shop/property, so I would like to keep this to necessary fixes and not just for funzies type stuff.

That being said, if you are worried about breaking your shit and not being able to get home, DONT. We will have some of the brightest 1GT minds in attendance. If this group cant get you patched back together enough to get home you needed a tow anyway.

Speaking of tow's. My neighbors are an actual automotive shop, and they also rent u-haul trailers.

 

Cory is a maybe. He's got a shooting event the 19th. Colin and Chris are no goes.

I've got a stove as well, and a bunch of coolers. We have a Walmart and United close by. Hell, I went through Canyon yesterday and they have a spanking new whataburger there.

Sweet. I've also got a lot of empty properties around me for truck camping. Or we can camp in the canyon. I'm down either way.

Btw I have everthing. including a coleman stovetop oven. 22" blackstone griddle, 3 coleman stoves 1 is folding, way too many coolers, camp chef dual burner with griddles half and full, Coffee perculator, jet boil french press, literally a 6'x12' tuffshed dedicated to camping gear for base camping, ovetlanding and backpacking. 8 assorted tents, cots, air mattresses... on and on and on and....
