After arriving home from vacation this was waiting for me.

    Thanks to scottblair1950

Finally had time and nice weather today so I decided to put it in

First was to remove hood protector

I removed 'eye brow' but pushing on the tabs from inside the hood instead of prying from the outside.

    Close up of the clips

Next, using a 10mm deep socket, I removed the 10 bolts holding the grille in place and the 2 bolts hold the good latch.

Taking the right side of the grill and pulling up and out I was able to pop out the 7 plastic tabs holding the top of the grill to the good. Only broke the outside two.

After cleaning and waxing where the hood deflector covers, I installed the black grill from Scott Blair. I also had to reinstall the foam backer for the hood deflector.

Finished product, needs a bath badly though .

As @csuviper taught me, those tails require a good deal of time, and patience....

Has anyone tried to Plasti-dip the chrome around the grill without removing it?

It would just be easier to remove it...this way, all spots are covered.

As soon as I can get time in the shop, bye bye chrome. Any ideas how many cans of dip will I need for bumper?

1 can of plastidip for the front bumper
1 can of plastidip for the rear bumper
.75 can of plastidip for the grill surround

Always good to have an extra can for touch-ups or if you want to add more coats.

Really like the Flex, works great so far, haven't had any snow/ ice to test it though. Really like that it folds up against my Back Rack. From my research it has a better warranty than the bak flip.

Door handles ordered. Hopefully in this week. Question for everyone. Bilstein 5100's upfront or a leveling kit? Unfortunately money is an issue or I would like a full 3" lift. Comments appreciated. Thanks

Because it upgrades all your shocks plus gives you the lift and levels it.
