Pit the hood light in. Offset a bit.

    Very easy and very bright.

Installed a set of cool white yesterday. Hopefully @mattgecko doesn't mind that I modified his install a bit, including a magnetic reed switch so that they go on automatically when the tailgate is lowered.

    Knock, knock!
Hey @mattgecko it's time for a new truck... yet again... :spending:
Can you PM me when you're around (I noticed on your website you may not be shipping in the next little while) as I think I'll be doing a cool white bed light kit, along with a hood set this time... oh and remote option please.

With going the remote route, can I install the lights I guess without even using the switch in the bed at all?
    Cheers man!

@Ike74 I can include the extra wire and install instructions for a cab mounted switch bed light kit for no extra charge. I'll PM you info...

@Sas I have done interior, grill, hood skoop, undercab. I love a challenge and custom orders, PM me what you would like and I will send you a quote.

Hi Matt, I want to buy your bed light kit but not sure if I have the electrical wiring knowledge to pull it off myself... could you by any chance send me more details on the instructions or what’s required for install? I’ve looked at other kits but they either don’t include a switch or require too much in the way of cutting, splicing, etc.
    Thanks!

The kit includes everything needed (including bed mounted switch), except basic hand tools.

Hi Matt, looks like you're exactly who I was looking for. I too would like to install bedlights and know nothing about wiring in vehicles. Could you PM me info as well? I'm pretty mechanical inclined and suffer from OCD as well. This is why I rather do installs myself. I would like to see if it will be complicated before I order from you. I would PM you but dont know how to on here. Thanks in advance.

PM sent. I designed the kits for those who have no wiring experience, if your a little mechanically included the install is easy and fun.

That looks really really nice!!! I'm noticing that you don't have a positive or a negative from the lights hooked up to your battery? I ordered Bed Lights from Matt and should be getting them tomorrow and this will be my first time wiring up anything on a vehicle so I'm going to go by Matt's instructions since I want to be able to turn the lights on without putting the key in the ignition. Did you wire it up a different way perhaps or did you do such a great job hiding the wires on the battery?...LOL!!

Yeah you’re welcome man. Thats EXACTLY how I am...well going to be when I install mine. I have OCD when it comes to neatness. Looking forward to the challenge I face installing them being a newbie.

I’m also a novice at this stuff. These don’t seem to be battery powered? What are they tapping into?
I’m interested in doing some type of bedlight system.

I’m interested in getting bed and hood lights. Pls send install instructions. Also, I would like to control the bed light via the factory bed light switch instead of a separate switch. Is this easy to tie into existing switch? I don’t know the amp draw of the light.
