Yes that pin switch can be used, it will require cleaning over time.

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
Love my Gecko light light kits.
Well worth the investment. One of the simplest installs I’ve done.
    You Rock Matt.!!

Last night I was able to get my bed and hood lights installed. A couple of things. Routing the power line kind of sucks but doable. I need to figure out how to tighten up the bed switch some. I don't like it at the moment but it is working.

The first before and after photos I set my phone up to take the exact same exposure so it wasn't doing any auto light compensation to give it a real feeling. The last 3 photos are the phone set to auto.

Overall it is a super simple and clean installation. Now to install my rack on my diamondback.

Any issue with mounting these to the bottom of tonneau cover rails, seeing how I don't have factory rails?

I can sell you the red light set and bed switch, these will tie into the existing power wire. So you can have both colors.

Sounds good. Already a good price imo...just checking that's all. I'm prob gonna order the cool white bed lights & hood light.

I have a Weather Guard chest mounted to the font of my bed and am thinking of a light for inside there as well. I've read through your threads before and know you've made lights for toolboxes. Could you make a 42" cool white light on a momentary switch that'll turn on/off as the lid opens? I'd also want to wire it so it always has power (toolbox light only, not bed lights), so I don't have to put key in ignition for toolbox light. Do you know if there's wiring near the bed I could tap for continuous power & not have to run it to engine bay?

@jr1016 Yes it can. It is wired directly to the battery.

Just now getting around to installing mine. Realize the instructions are for beds with the bed rail system which I don’t have. I have a tonneau installed so it’s a bit tight. Wondering if I should install to the tonneau frame or along the top of the bed? Leaning to installing on the bed as it would be more permanent and won’t cause an issue if I change tonneau covers in the future. Anything I need to be concerned with when installing this way? Also, should I disconnect the battery?

If installation directly on the bed the tape may fail over time, silicone will permanently hold them in place.

@mattgecko I have a Retrax Pro XR bed cover that rolls up into a canister in the front of the bed thats about 12" deep and 12" tall. I'd like to add some bed lights and was thinking of pasting the set that goes behind the cab to the bottom of the canister. Has anyone done this? Is there enough wire between the sets to be able to move that strip down to the bottom of the canister? I know I could splice in more wire myself, but it would be nice to not have to cut apart what you've nicely assembled.

Yes, When I make your light set I will make the wire harnesses extra long so that the light strip can be mounted on the bottom or front of the retracts Box.

When you check out on my website there's a place to put notes, please put retracts tunnel cover in.
