I paid $287 apiece from McGeorge Toyota and was able to nab that free shipping promo that Toyota ran with participating dealers a few weeks back. Got the ‘19 TRD Pro headlights as well. Install was pretty easy. Used @iHacker harness for $100. So for $675 total can’t beat it. Phenomenal upgrade. I’m sure I saved a mint on shipping those boxes were not small.

Very temped to get the BAMuffler 10" from Dirty Deeds group buy, but I don't think it will pass state video inspection. The 10" system, I believe, is a muffler delete. Correct? Just has resonators. Anyone have a truck inspected since the new video rules went in that are running non-oem exhaust similar to the BAMuffer? I used to go to the best garage...

I have the 6" system on my truck and I don't have to get inspected until next November but if they fail it I'll just put the stock muffler back on

The 10” system has mufflers, the budget system does not.

Ya, the only worry is the hit to your insurance rates. I'd be happy to pay noise "tax" if pulled over.
Do they? I think mufflers have fiberglass and other dampening stuff in them, and the 10"s only have resonators, which just make it sound better (and in the case of a 10" just make it not sound obnoxiously loud)

Read the description of the 8", the only difference is the length of muffler. 10 will be a little quieter. My 10" system will be here in a week.

I have had a DD Budget System on my ( now my son's) 2011 Tundra for like 3 years and never had an issue with inspections. MAybe Im just lucky ( which i doubt....cause I'm the unluckiest person I know) but... no issues with 6" straight pipes.

All the HACKS in this state have to worry about is loud mufflers....jeez.... how bout focusing some more effort on the Opioid problem or the EBT fraud...

No worries! I’m a born masshole but lived / registered in RI for a short minute and they do bi-annual there. In fact new vehicles don’t even get inspection stickers (which makes sense, it’s a brand new vehicle there shouldn’t be anything wrong) just another money grab in MA. However (and I never thought I’d say this) compared to RI our MA excise taxes and etc are infinitely more palatable

The excise on my truck was only $80 but my dads 2019 ram was close to 4 figures. although I chose not to pay my excise tax until they fixed my road and wouldn't you know it? fixed a week later and now I've paid my tax.
They only get my money if they show me what they do with it

I’ve got a ‘16 the excise was a shade over $300 for the year out of Seekonk...probably would’ve been about that much quarterly in RI. Wife’s Prius was $50 which is the lowest you’ll get to I believe as it’s been there the last few years
