Massachusetts Tundra Thread.

Anyone have a reputable regearing shop they recommend? I'm leaning towards Mitchel Differential, but open to other options before pulling the trigger

How much does the RTT effect the MPG?

 

A couple of months ago i was struggling to find a shop to balance my 35's on 17in icon wheels.. Found a shop called Expert Automotive in chelmsford ma. They work with a lot of HD trucks. Literally perfect balancing. Just posting here if it helps anyone in the future.

 

Hey y'all, does anyone know of any good spots to get a lift and tires put on near Foxboro?

 

For the lift, no, as I do them myself. 1-1.5 away from you is Akin Auto up in Baldwinville does good work on Toyotas. For tires, Charlie's Tire in Bellingham has always been decent, but I've had better luck with Pete's Tire or Townfair Tire due to their rotation and flat repair.

Just remember that a lift is just a strut replacement, an alignment just needs to be dialed in, but still within specs, and tires are tires. Nothing is terribly unique until you go above 3".

Hey guys, new member here. I am actually based out of Ohio and have been on the hunt for a very specific 1st gen for months now.

My search has led me to a truck located at a dealership in the Stoughton, MA area. I'm sure you guys can see where this is going. If anyone would like to volunteer to help me out and give the truck a quick look over that would be greatly appreciated. (Main concern is a cleaner frame) I understand everyone's time is valuable so we could make some arraignments for that. Let me know if anyone is interested.

I’m on the North shore, Ma. I bought mine at Woburn Toyota and transformed her pretty nicely. Give me a honk if you notice me driving by. I’ve seen a couple of TRD pros- one metallic gray and one white in my area that are dang sweet!!

 

For anyone on the North Shore I take my forerunner and Tundra to Larsons motors in Peabody. A reasonable price for oil based under coating.

 

What’s the dealership - I’m in the area, but have a wild schedule (don’t we all). Have a link to the ad? Can PM me if you em don’t want someone else to see and try to scoop it up haha.

 

Anyone from the Middlesex area know any reputable shop that does undercarriage treatment? Thanks in advanced.

 

No, but if you find one, please post it. I'm also looking. Was just going to drive to NHOU to have them do it (southern NH).

 

What do they charge for a tundra?

 

I believe it’s right around 200 give or take. That was last fall. I do both of my vehicles before the snow hits each year. Well worth it.

Local off road jeep shop used to do my tundra for $100 - 3 years in a row .. until last year they’re like oh we went up a little bit on full-size truck COGs and all .. I’m thinking $125, $150 .. nope $200 .. but good to hear other shops in line. This is using fluidfilm btw

Here's my tundra now; I'd show it new when I bought it but that would be on 35mm film from 20 years ago.

 

Have you used nhou in the past? I’ve thought about it as well, I feel like the fluidlfilm just doesn’t last long enough, could stand to do it late fall and touch up again by mid winter is my feeling

 

Yup I have, it holds up well. I’ve used fluidfilm in the past too and discovered that any area that sees a lot of water strips it right off.

 

hey located in the south shore, wondering if you guys know of any local mudding spots. Cant be too crazy cause im totally stock but i'd love to bring my kids out and get the truck filthy lmao.

 

Anyone interested in taking these iron giants? Spent today moving them out of the my parents basement and into the garage. My cousin is coming over tonight to decide if he wants any of them.
