2012 tundra extra cab sr5 4.6v8

I was just surfing on the internet and decided to look up Mass Air Sensors for my tundra. I noticed that there are a ton of different manufactures. so here are my questions.
1- do all mass air sensors work the same? or are there some you will seen gains with? is there a limit or max limit of air flow and anything over that would turn the check engine light on?
2-if I needed to change mine out what is the best one you can buy? or does it matter?
