All I know is that it was a new unit - very large project with over 80,000 DCS points. My team was commissioned to function check all of the DCS configuration. Honeywell did such a bad job that they were fired and we brought in a great DCS crew from Pheonix to help fix all the issues. Too long ago - I've forgotten the company names though I made some good friends on that job.

Even better - I've been out there a few times. Did you get a chance to go to Enchanted Rock? There's also an AMAZING German Restaurant downtown. Best German food I've had short of when I actually was stationed in Germany back in the late 90's. I'd had made my name "Schnitzel Bandito" but it doesn't quite roll off the tongue like "Taquito."

Glad your home survived and your family is safe.

We went out to the slab in Kingsland and then on to Coopers in Llano. We needed a bbq fix. My wife, mother-in-law, and niece are out hitting the shops today and us boys are hanging back at the house. We’re making this a place for the wife and I if we ever get to take a vacation for ourselves.

That's awesome - I'm glad you all are having a nice time. The one time I tried to get out to Enchanted Rock, the road to it was backed up because there was an accident. So we cruised back to town and found that German restaurant. Have you been to Luchenbach yet? It's worth going just to get a pic in front of the Post Office/General Store when you are out that way again. President Johnson's Ranch is a worthwhile trip too. Really, there's so much to do out that way. You are very fortunate to have a place out there to go to. Great people too.

You've got that right. I did a logo years ago for a lady in Austin who did Hill Country Wine tours in her old hippy VW Van. That would have been my way of hitting the wineries...

It's way to early to know for sure, but one of them has a decent chance of spinning up into a storm.

I fully understand! I've been on or near the Gulf Coast for over 30 years now. I've ridden out a few hurricanes. I've never had to evacuate because I am VERY picky about where I live - not within 5 miles of the coast and WELL above flood zone. The Salt Life is great but the humidity does get old!

6 weeks later, you guys in LA are in the path again with hurricane Delta.
Hopefully it stays a Cat 1.

Thanks man! We're better prepared this time since we reserved a place earlier. Plus I only have to take care of my family, and not my sister's as well. We'll get through it. Once done, we're all gonna tear up some gumbo too. Haha

Living that cone life. There are 6 months in hurricane season. This is the 7th time our state has been in the cone. It’s getting old.
