    Maple candy is so good. Used to make a batch per year for fun Just have to take my syrup (which is syrup at 220°) up to 235 I think. Let it cool a little and stir like crazy as it cools. So good. Takes a lot of syrup for a little candy but it's yummy. And there's a market for it too. Just too much for me to do. Also fun is taffy or butter. Butter is my favorite

    Wasn't too bad. Just keep a close eye have a good thermometer that's calibrated. Go slow. I had to microwave the liquid for 10 seconds at a time a few times to keep it flowing into the moulds

    These things are so sweet, too sweet IMO. Next time I'd make them smaller and add nuts I think, IF I made candy again.

    You guys are awesome. I added everything up I made here. And it almost equals the insurance policy I need in order to sell my syrup in a local store. Without you guys I couldn't have done that and would certainly be scrambling to sell all of this year's product. Now I can get my foot in the door and hopefully get a contact for a set amount if bottles every year. Thanks to everyone, now my hobby may end up turning me a small profit in the future.

    I'm licking my chops. I tasted a little bit and as the bottle says, Wicked Sweet. You might think I'm crazy, but when I am craving something sweet, my go to fix is a couple tbl spn of peanut butter and maple syrup. Stir it till it gets to a thin consistency. Then a grab some fresh bread and scoop it up, gotta have a cold glass of milk with it. I don't do it often, as you can imagine the calories.
