    I decided to treat myself with a new battery with my good news from my urologist. The OEM Johnson Controls battery in my 14 is 5 years old. Still good. Same battery that was in my 07 that I replaced at 7 years. I'm not going nuts with lights like I did with my 07. I'm going to mount a 40" light bar on the front of my topper. That's it. Got me a $200 Optima Red Top 35 for $164.61 which includes tax, with my 25% off online discount at AdvanceAuto! Born on date.. 3/19

    I like the small foot print of the 35. Specs are quite decent for its size too.

    As you have seen here on the forum, Optima gets a bad rap which I have defended more than a few times. Yeah made in Mexico now. BFD. I don't mind some things made south of the border. "They" need jobs too.

    My 09 Taco was base 4X4. No mods, although I did put on some nice DuraTracs. It had the smallish 2.7L, but had a manual transmission which I prefer.
