Yes insurance can be a good thing. When I was battling "C" close to 5 years ago, I was in Arizona and had to be air lifted back to San Diego on a twin engine "air-ambulance" with 1 pilot and 2 EMT's on board. We got the statement in the mail months later, $ 39,995.00. I was required to pay a $500.00 deductible and ins covered the balance.

It's somewhat embarrassing for me to throw out what I'm going through. Not looking for any sympathy at all. I'm a big boy. Just want folks to understand that there is a huge prostate cancer epidemic with men in this country that is getting over shadowed by women's breast cancer. Seems like everyone I come across has a male in their family going through what I'm going through and being totally ignored.

Nothing to be embarrassed about. Probably 95-98% of this forum are men, where not a better place to spread the word. Now start posting pics of your rear area meds being shot up.........that might be embarrassing.

For what it's worth.....I'm not going to do an in depth review on my new LT295/70/R18 load range E Cooper S/T Maxxs'. There are more than enough decent reviews out there. These tires are certainly the real deal. Not too loud going up on I-70 today. Quite capable off the road too although I've not had the chance try them out on the wet stuff. I noticed the Maxx's were very good at expelling rocks and I only found a few small rocks still remaining between the treads. Grip on loose rock was great and similar in comparison to my SST Pros. The Armor Tek 3 side wall is a plus. Provides great protection from sharp rocks that are all over the place. No chipping away on the side biters and tread corners after two weekends of putting them to the test.Colorado's high country "roads" can take their toll on tires pretty quick. I'm a Cooper fan guy now.... The Maxxs' are just as good as the SST Pro so far with conditions I've subjected them to. Not much mud around here now. Going back up tomorrow for another test run. Want find the best all around air pressure to use. Recommended pressure is all over the place depending what you read. I'll follow up on that.

STT PRO M/T on left with 10K+ miles, ST Maxx A/T on the right. 200+ miles.

Now..if my son ever gets home..I'll post some pics. 8.1 inches of clearance. Guess who is verify that.....:mudding:

Decided to go with Duralast Max ceramic pads and Power Stop slotted/drilled rotors to use on the rear. 2 yr warranty against warping. I change out rotors every 2 or 3 yrs anyways.

Got to meet my Oncologist today for the first time. Informed me I'm an aggressive Gleason 9C which is comparable to a Stage 4 cancer. Not a big deal since my cancer has not metastasized. Still local to my lymph nodes. Starting radiation asap to nuke what's left. Two months after that I go on Zytiga and Prednisone......

I'm the mean time...got more goodies...

Correction....I start Zytiga as soon as they send it to me......$9200 per month for two years.....

My Oncologist seems to think the additional radiation and Zytiga will finish it off for good. Not too concerned at this point. I'm more concerned now about grouse hunting this weekend.......

Quite frankly if you stake out a remote place in AK................. You can name you own access road. If you are locked and loaded who is going challenge that??? Viper Lane.. Has a nice ring to it...

I'm back........Finally got the keys to my new townhouse yesterday. In between I've be moving things into storage. I temporarily have additional 2 storage units. I now get to remove things from those units into my new place. I've been doing this by myself although my friend helped me with my washer/dryer and chest freezer. The new place is a 2dbrm. 1000 sqft. The master bdrm will be set up for the grandkids when they are there. I'm using the other room with is actually pretty big itself. I start Zytiga today and radiation next Thursday..Next up..Celebrating the Dodgers winning the World Series........:oldglory:

Not feeling any side affects yet although there seems like are a zillion possible side affects listed for Zytiga like any other drug. I think Zytiga is comprised of some fancy engineered enzymes that can be quite costly to "make". Like synthetic produced nucleic acid which can cost around $400K for about a 1/2 liter.

I've been a bit busy lately dealing with moving to a new place. Extremely busy at work. Not to mention dealing with my oncologist, urologist, radiologist, weekly blood works, Zytiga pill bs, copays, grandkids. I hope to finally go Grouse hunting Sunday since I'll be at the CO meet and greet giving everyone a hard time Saturday..............

The Zytiga is taking my testosterone down to pretty much ZERO. Think Eunuchs.... Prostate cancer cells love testosterone. Zytiga scarves the cancer. Radiation making is supposed to kill off remaining cancer cells. Fun times.
