Thanks Chris. My urologist will be using the robotic method too. Definitely less invasive. There will also be hormone therapy. A lot will depend on my bone scan and MRI results.

Good luck man. Prayers. My whole family both sides have been decimated by that nasty ass shit. I'm sure I'll be there too.

Sorry to hear the news Matt! My step dad is going through the same thing right now, diagnosed about 6 months ago. He chose HIFU and had that done about a month ago. Goes back soon to have it rechecked. Good luck to you my friend!

Wow, OK, all expenses paid trip to Vegas. Penthouse suite with 4 Penthouse girls. Unlimited booze, gambling chips, Carrot Top tickets.Front row of course, might as well add Celine Deon back stage passes too. Then a cruise up to AK and all expenses paid hunting/ fishing at a remote camp with private Led Zep reunion concert with Kathleen Edwards. More to be added. Still thinking what else to do after that.

One bone scan done. A CT scan actually. My scan tech was Jennifer. Blonde. I'm in love. Nothing better than CO blonde. Just sayin. All seriousness aside, her boyfriend is a 1st responder. Fire Fighter. She mentioned that her boyfriend's fellow firefighter,29,has prostate cancer. WTF????. Caught early. PSA test time apparently if you're 30. Not 50. Just sayin.

Know what is sad, there is a lot of family doctors that don't believe in PSA checking. I read a few articles on my last primary care physicians wall stating it isn't a very accurate way to detect prostrate problems.

I call BS, this is how my Dad found it early (think his PSA was 8 or 13) and he got aggressive with it. This is also how my uncles and friends family members found the issues.

Glad to see you still have a sense of humor Matt.

I have 3 coworkers who got paranoid. All three had their wives schedule a PSA test included on next annual physical. You may think you are so.... healthy....Fuc*. X 1000. I'VE been sitting here in my Tundra killing a couple of Coors Banquet brews and typing this from my cell listening to some Kathleen Edwards tunes. Helps me sleep. Don't worry. Getting on my computer now...

Sounds like the battery of test are under way Matt. Staying strong and keeping that positive attitude will make a big difference. I can appreciate someone that has a long journey ahead and still keeps the humor going. Guess the one good thing about those hospital visits.........get to look forward to the cute nurses. Keeps us posted my friend as you have a lot of good guys backin you up.....

My initial PSA was 11.9.... Stupid high #. I most likely read those same articles that said PSA test is not necessary. I'm believing it now..............I'm living the dream......NOT!!!
