I have one LGS that manages to keep things in stock at reasonable prices although they say it’s a struggle to do it.

Then a few sites I order from that are still able to produce 9 and 556 even this late in the game. Nothing huge, just topping off a little every couple weeks.

I have two. I have not had problems with them, but they do throw the brass around. If I stand behind my wife when she is shooting it, I will need to dodge the brass. I consider it a 10 to 15 yard pistol. I did change out the springs after the first 500 rounds.

My personal favorite is a Kimber 1911 45 acp. I have one with a 3" barrel and another with a 5" barrel. I find the 5" barrel very accurate and reliable to 25 yards. The indoor range I go to is limited to 25 years, so I have not tried to shoot past that.

I like to take a dremel tool and polish the feed ramp to a mirror finish.

It's regional. The region just happens to be the entire United States.:p

Ammo has been difficult to find since Covid.

I have been buying at Bulkammo.com & Luckygunner.com, but their supply has been sketchy the past month or two.

Not where I live. I can't say that we always get it cheap; but when you live right outside an Army post, and when the vast majority of the population patronizes the local gun clubs....I pretty much guarantee ammo will be available. LOL

For the record, I don't 'need' ammo, depending on one's view. I've got plenty of it. I'm not buying tons of it now....I'm simply buying a box or two or three a week. Not the cheapest around here for sure, but if I can afford it and I can get it, I'll keep buying it.

Hate to one up you, but, when I mentioned ammo, the wife counted every caliber we have and, handing me a paper with her tally, offered suggestions on how much more of each to buy. Her suggestions were higher than what I was considering. Also said we need another AR15 (her favorite rifle). I want a hunting rifle. Now know where a portion of our tax returns is going.

I mean, I'm fine with someone one-upping me in that manner. :D My next purchase is this - shot it @ my brother's house a month or two ago and fell in love with it. (Tavor X-95)

Now I just need to figure out how to sell my current AR-15.

Talk to me in another month when we get the tax returns back. My local dealer is hunting for me a bargain as well. He's wanting to sell me that hunting rifle too. Just waiting for me to make up my mind about what I want.

Well yeah; more a rhetorical statement than anything. It's just that I've got duplicates of stuff, and I'm kind of one of those guys who likes to keep things to a minimum if I can. (E.g., minimize the # of calibers between firearms if the S ever HTF.)

Will do. In the meantime, if you'd like, I can send you pics on what I have so you can at least get an idea of whether or not it's something you'd like.

Reminded me of a conversation I had with a like-minded friend recently regarding my "need" for better night vision capability. He mentions how pricey it is and says, "I'm encouraging people I don't like to buy them instead...draw your own conclusions." I laughed at first and then thought about it. Brilliant. Just would probably have to "acquire" this stuff at a later date if necessary; during the day.

Absolutely. Have done some work with the newer designs and the white is terrific. Give me that in the four-eye version and I'll die a happy man. Sadly I'd have to sell everything I own to afford 'em.

Yeah... Allegedly, our eyes are able to "read" more information coming in w/the white, which in turn gives are brains more data to process and ultimately formulate images, etc...

Green, from my limited experiences w/them, always seemed a bit fuzzier and 'washed' than the white. But, that could have been partly due to the age differences between the units as well. Kinda like looking at older FLIR vs newer technology.

You wouldn't have to sell everything... just your Tundra!!!
