    New to me.. 2014.. MGM is by far the best color! Has anyone who has painted their chrome grille and bumper black want to share what they used? Want to de chrome without spending too much.

    P.S. - if anyone is wondering, 305/55/20 will fit on stock SR5 suspension with +60 offset limited wheels. Everyone told me they wouldn’t fit until I stuffed them under there..

    I painted my stock chrome grille surround and bulge but it got beat up pretty quick with rocks and shit. I admittedly didn't do the best prep job, as far as scuffing and using the right primer, though. Others on the forum have had good luck with better prep, and there's a local guy in Phoenix that does the grille and bulge for about half the cost of a new set.

    As far as the bumper caps, I used Anthracite Gray PlastiDip with Glossifier and it's a pretty close match and has held up well for me.

    I used Raptor Liner on my grill, as well as front and rear bumpers. Its been about 6 months and still looks like the day I did it.

    I did the plastic as well. I had some fairly deep scratches in the plastic and the Raptor filled them in perfectly. Can't even tell they were there.
