Took 6 weeks to get the topper for my 2020 TRD sport. It’s an ARE. Not perfect but I guess it will do.54B4A68D-56EE-466C-A54F-B111612B90A6.jpg

Nice ride. Where did you get the tailgate light? How do you like it? I'm looking at adding that to my Tundra.

I have the Toytec Complete Performance 3" Lift Kit with Aluma Series 2.5 Coilovers - Tires are 295/70R18 and I just put in the Coachbuilder 1/2" bumper shim for the rubbing. Rims are Black Rhino with +12 offset.

I guess I need to put this in my profile.

I have an obsession, a color obsession. And I know nobody in this thread will judge me for it. haha

It all started in 2015, when I bought my first Tundra

    2015 Tundra (MGM):
    FullSizeRender.jpg

Still in 2015, I bought my wife a Lexus

2014 Lexus IS350 FSport (Nebula Gray Pearl):
    IMG_1366.jpg

Then, I decided to trade in my 2015 Tundra

    2017 Tundra (MGM):
    IMG_0170.jpg

Wife wanted something new, so we left the Toyota/Lexus family...but not the color family

2019 BMW 330i (Mineral Grey Metallic):
    BMW 1.jpg

Well, I decided to trade in my 2017 Tundra Monday, but I stayed in the Toyota/Lexus AND color family

2020 Lexus GX460 (Nebula Gray Pearl):
    Lexus 2.jpg

The short of it, I no longer have my Tundra. Maybe I will get a 4th Gen MGM in a few years, but for now, I'll be enjoying the Lexus.

That is a nice looking GX460. Sorry to see you get rid of the Tundra, but how do you like the 460 so far? What do you miss about the Tundra in comparison? I'm curious since I have looked at the GX but have not driven one yet. Thanks.

Well, I’ve had the GX 48hrs so far, and put about 200 miles on it (130 of which was driving home from the dealership). I love the way the GX rides, it’s smooth and quiet, but it is body on frame, so it doesn’t ride like a Lexus sedan or cross over. It’s got the baby 4.6 v8 with a 6500 tow capacity, so it’s decent in that regard (meets my needs). The seats are so comfortable in the Lexus vs the stiff ass seats of my Limited Tundra...it’s night and day.

Mainly, what I miss in the Tundra is just the fact that it was a truck. I’ve driven them for so long, it’s weird to be daily driving an SUV. I’m sure I’ll get used to it in no time.

If you’re considering a SUV, I’d go give the GX460 a good look and drive one. Dealers are very aggressive with their pricing too. I got 16% off MSRP ($59,000 asking, got it for $49,500+tax). I didn’t even have to negotiate hard. I simply found the best price someone posted on clublexus forum, told the dealer, and they beat that price by $500. Simple as that.

Thanks for the info. I know how you feel about driving a truck for so long. I’ve been in one for 25 years and I love the utility and that special fun factor that pickups have. But at times something smaller and more “comfortable “ to use daily makes me think about the GX. Thought about the Land Cruiser but I wasn’t enthralled with the way it drove. Just kind of boring. I think I’ll take drive in a GX soon to really get a feel for it. Just don’t want anything underpowered.

    Thanks again.

I just got rid of my LC to get back into the new Tundra.
I just do not fit well in anything smaller than the Tundy inside!?

My Sister has a GX and I had a 4Runner which is almost the same truck and there is not enough space for me especially on long drives which I make every few months or more,I do the long drives a lot more than I need the smaller more handy on the trail trucks thats for sure so comfort on the long drive was the priority for me!
