I am looking to replace the muffler (not entire exhaust) on my 2018 Tundra CM 5.7 4x4. I had a Magnaflow 12586 on my FJ Cruiser. I loved how it was subtle until you floored it. Can anybody recommend a similar Magnaflow model, but for a Tundra? I also emailed Magnaflow support.

I have a magnaflow put in place of my stock muffler. Magnaflows are able to flow either direction. So it is welded in 2 to 1. Kept the truck looking stock. Gave it a deeper tone. Sounds good when getting on it.

Magnaflow part 12288 is what I have on my truck. I like it.
You can get specs off of MF website but I think it’s an oval 5x8x18” Can’t remember exactly.

Don't know but I can find out. Took it to my local muffler man and had them put it on. Cost me $120

I have an '18 CM Limited TRD, and am also looking for a deeper rumble on a budget.

Thanks for the info. I will look into that one. I noticed on my FJ I had a single inlet and a single outlet. It looks like the Tundra has dual in and single out. I will report back what Magnaflow recommends as a comparison.

I have ran Borla in the past. I had too much highway drone and I could barely hear my music.

Mine has very little drone at times. It's not bad at all. I've heard alot worse from the brands mentioned above.

I received an email from Magnaflow, stating the 12588 would be the Tundra comparable muffler to the 12586. I will be ordering this week and will report back once it is installed. Thanks for all the input!

I have a Flowmaster special 50. Dual in dual out same side. Exhaust installer likes doing Tundras this way. He was not looking forward to bending pipe to exit both sides. May not be loud enough for some but I like it. Neighbor put Borla on his GM. It is a little loud for my liking.

Loud pipes save lives. I enjoy my loud exhaust. Loud isn't for everyone. It's whatever makes you happy at the end of the day is what I always say.
