That’s weird. I have remote starter also and did the mod. Everything works as it should. Hope you can find a solution.

Me too. It stinks that it worked for over a year, stopped, reflashing the RR2 restored it, then it worked on the 1057 (upgrade from a 7" Kenwood) and now out of nowhere stopped. In diagnostics it says TPMS not detected, I have all my gauges including transmission temp.

I have been trying all this time to get TPMS back. I went to Discount tire (bought my sensors from them) they reinitialized the sensors, no change. I said fuck it & initialized the radio & Maestro & it's back!!

what the heck? All that trouble and all you had to do is reset everything?

Yup. It is a hassle having to set everything back up but it's under 10 minutes & 100% 1st world problem.

OK, I need some verification. I have a 2014 Tundra Platinum and nowhere in the head unit or dashboard do the time pressures appear. Only thing is the yellow icon when ever there is a tire or tires with pressure issues.

In the last week, I installed an Alpine F309 / Maestro. The tire pressure on the Maestro app just says N/A. For the most part the rest of the data is available. There are no detected PIDS for the tire pressure.

Question: Will the solution above fix my tire pressure issue with the 2014 Tundra?

so you reset the head unit and maestro and the tpms started displaying?

Did you do any of the other modifications i.e. adding the resistor prior to replacing the tpms sensors?

Such a frustrating situation. Mine worked for well over a year. Then they just stopped. ADS was literally no help, blamed my TPMS sensors. Just bought new wheels, tires and sensors, still nothing. Pulled the Maestro out and re-flashed it, no change. Do you think the resistor will solve it? I’ve done a master reset on the Maestro, on the head unit, no remote start. Setting keep saying TPMS not detected.

Y not add the resistor. It’s cheap. You’ve tried everything else already.

Yup, try adding the resistor. I have an OBDII bluetooth reader and I am able to see the tire information on the app but nothing shows up on the Maestro so it is not a TPMS issue. Eventually when the weather gets warmer, I will tackle adding the resistor.

Soldered in the recommended resistor, performed master reset on Maestro, no change. Even drove around for 15 minutes just in case it needed to connect. Calling ADS again tomorrow. About to give up on this.

I know you said you had master reset the Maestro.
Did you also fully reset the radio?
Factory reset and re-initialize radio and maestro unit.
    Give that a shot.
Very strange it was working and out of nowhere it quits.

Yea I reset the head unit and the Maestro. No change. Did the resistor tonight, all good now! They said that with the recent firmware update the resistor is required. Crazy how their firmware update requires me to do this level of work. Whatever. They did say that if i was to order one now it would come with the resistor installed by them. So now my stupid XM radio is acting up. Good times.

Planning on finally tackling this project in a month or two. The grey/red wire is from the OBDII harness and the red wire is the data cable right?

Correct. Gray/red is in the bundle of wires opposite side of the Maestro from the 3 pin bundle that contains the solid red. You will need to unwrap the existing tape to see if you already have a resistor. You may depending on when you bought it. They started doing this themselves. If so you are replacing theirs. Mine didn’t have one. So I unwrapped and unwound both bundles, placing the gray/red and red next to each other making sure that both can connect to the Maestro without too much tension. Then I placed the resistor over and marked the ends. That is where I cut, stripped, and soldered in the resistor. Tape it all back up and reinstall. Be mindful of your other connection when pulling it out. I tightened up all my wire nuts and taped them all to reinforce. Sounds like this might happen again and require the work to be done again. A pain in the ass for sure but worth it to have my psi on the head unit.

Lost it again. When you say bundle with 3 wires & solid red, do you mean power?

Nevermind, seeing as it was the only one with 3 wires & solid red, I did it. I asked because I had to reflash the RR2 to get it. Hopefully, that is the end of this nonsense.

Resistor should be listed below in the products discussed. Amazon sells them in packs of 100.

Thanks, I have the resistor (BrandonL812 sent me one) I was curious how others were soldering them in and anyone has photo of one they put in.

So..... although I ripped into my dash & added the freaking resistor, I lost TPMS AGAIN! Called Maestro, they must be the least friendly Canadiens as I have as yet to speak to a nice person there.

He said I need to HARD reset the Maestro, & that is pulling it out, removing all connectors & while holding the reset button restoring only the power connector while turning on the ignition. The lights will flash rapid red & then reconnect everything. luckily for me, I removed the center dash speaker & put it back together so I can (with difficulty) get at the Maestro that way. IT WORKED!

    Bite me Maestro, you suck!

    https://youtu.be/krWpmmkBBpI

There is the reset video I used. (it worked on my RR2)

Maestro said call the vendor when I asked about the warranty (long expired) I called Crutchfield & they will do a return as a courtesy since it is 10 months out of warranty. I ordered a new one & they will refund when this one comes back.

    Crutchfield rules!

Beautiful spring day today. I had some time to tackle this project. Took about 30 minutes to double check things, take out tools and put them back, set tire location, etc. I will share some tips and pictures.

@e30cabrio mentioned removing the center dash speaker for easier access to the maestro and I could not agree more. Super easy to remove the center piece and unscrew the 2 speaker bolts and out came the maestro! Thanks for the tip!

I circled the two connections that contain the red/grey wire and red wire that need to connect with the resistor.
    20230322_145936.jpg

    20230322_145929.jpg

I used a self adjusting wire stripper tool to expose the wires and was super easy to do without damaging any of the threads.
    20230323_162735.jpg

Here are the two wires temporarily connected by the resistor. I turned the car on to accessory, reset the maestro from the settings and TPMS was able to be seen! After verified I got the two wires correct and resistor working, I soldered them up and used some tesa tape to make it look neat.

Here is my headunit finally showing TPMS info again!

Although I did the resistor, I lost TPMS Saturday. Called Crutchfield, they think it is the harness and are calling Maestro today, yesterday I tried to flash the Maestro & it is not seen by my phone or 3 different computers. Crutchfield is replacing the Maestro.

This morning I went out & had nothing Maestro related. WTF? Went out again & it is all back (still can't flash) WTF??

These were 5 minutes ago, taking bets on if it works next "reboot" lol
