4A384A2C-FD7E-480D-80A8-CB105D297DFE.jpg Hello all. Been lurking for a while and decided to jump in the fray. I picked up a '21 CM on Saturday after owning GM's since '91. They've been bulletproof and I still own a 2000 Sierra. However, it was time to re-up on a truck and I wasn't feeling comfortable with the 8-10 speed transmissions on the newer GM trucks. I wanted a 20 year truck so I made the switch and went with the proven reliability of the Tundra 5.7, 6 speed. It's a Limited in MGM with LOTS of Chrome. I'm an older kinda dude though so don't hold it against me if I keep it that way...Ha! What really interests me is modding for performance...(i.e. dual exhaust, pedal commander, sway bars, etc.) Once I figure out how to post pics, I'll throw some up. I really feel like I found a unicorn though the way the Tundra market has been. I'm excited for my next 20 years.

Don't waste money on a pedal commander. Just turn on tow/haul mode.

That's hilarious...my first choice was Cement but the wife said MGM:). Maybe MGM will turn out to be my favorite..ha. Actually, I had a Cement on order but got sketched out when they kept moving the build date out so I found the MGM on the ground 3.5 hours away.

Many don't get that chrome is used partly due to the reflective properties it has. Some light reflection provides some safety allowing the vehicle to be seen better at night. Part of why my truck is white. Also inside the cab, chrome trim helps with just enough light reflection to help you find your way around in the dark. The other good thing is the durability or hardness of the surface. Rock chips, bugs, etc. It is simply superior folks. Cleaning bugs off of chrome is so much easier!!

    Welcome, you will have fun.

Big yes on the TRD rear sway bar. They also have a TRD front one available, it helps but not as much as the rear.
Exhaust- check out http://dirtydeedsindustries.com/ His exhaust actually adds some HP and TQ, not just about the sweet sound. He can also assist with tuners, superchargers, etc.

Lots to learn about and enjoy here, check out the stickies at the top of each forum.

Not meaning to stereotype by age...just noticed the blackout stuff recently. I like some of it but too set in my ways most likely to change it much

Thanks. It's a little overwhelming as I've always been a "stock/OEM" man for whatever reason...drives my son crazy..ha. I am feeling the itch with this new truck to make some tweaks and additions. Thanks for lead.

It does seem easier to clean, that's for sure. I've always had it so it's just part of my natural biorhythms. If I do any chrome delete, it most likely be on the interior to minimize glare.
