Been running a dual battery system with the second battery just chillin in the bed in a box. Recently upgraded to optima yellow tops and since they’re like the size of a six pack of (canned) beer, I had tons of room left in my battery box, so I modded it.
Added usb, auto(cig), and voltmeter, all switched. Plus an Anderson powerpole input for my solar panel and future fridge. All stuff from https://powerwerx.com/panel-mounts
Also threw in a $3 diode (GM part #12135037) in place of my 5A ALT fuse under the hood, it really works, tricks the alternator into sending 14+ volts to my batteries, which my AGM’s loooooove, thanks @blackoutt . The truck is idiling in the pics where the voltmeter is reading 14.7... @e30cabrio may be happy to know this diode works...
