Hmmm... I just checked, and I was there on the 14th and 15th. I saw a bunch of 4Runners. Don't recall a Forester, but it would be cool had I seen one.

Love it! Two more on the list.

As for me…a little carnage at the tail head today. Backed into a tree with the drivers side rear bumper trying to park. :homer: :itllbuffout:

I’ll have to figure out how to replace it, or find aftermarket armor that is BSM compatible.

I ordered one and got lucky and fell into this truck. Wasn’t crazy about all your pics of the luner rock but my god I am now. Picked it up last Tuesday and it’s fucking sweet. 295/70/18 nitty titties. Wescott front lift with coach builder +3 shackle. Wireless charging tray, MX4 backflip off my old truck, MSRP from dealer who told me they had 12 people
Stop and wanted to buy it, one guy said he’d give 8K over sticker and the dealer wouldn’t sell it. Looking at sliders as we speak

2021 Pro!! Nitto’s Tyger blades, Arc audio!
That definitely has a awesome stance with the westcott and coach builder. I want to do the same but with more aggressive aftermarket wheels to get the more beefier look of tires.

    Double cabs!
Spent a few days in the moab area. Including a trip down mineral bottom in the dark. Never even needed 4wd, she's always happy cruising on everything.

I might be personally offended! Well I'm glad you've come around.

    Just joined the club!

Pic was taken on the "Lost Highway" in Florida. It was part of the original brick paved highway system and has been decaying there since 1915 or so.

With lots of folks picking up new trucks, wanted to do a small write-up at 4k miles.

    - At first the truck felt a little sluggish. Not sure if it was breaking in or the computer was calibrating to my driving style, but the thing has really woken up over the last 1500 miles or so. Be patient with it.
    - At first I couldn't stand the exhaust drone between 1500-1700 RPM, as many others have reported. Happy to say I no longer notice it, completely cleared up for me by 4k miles.
    - Not intending to start a holy war here, but I'm happy with the double cab. Have used the extra bed space, and so far the family fits just fine in the cab. Works well for MY FAMILY.
    - Really happy with the tire size upgrade. Went to Falken Wildpeak 295/70R18. Removed the little front mudflaps, that's it. I've never felt any rub, although if I peeked under the truck I bet there's minuscule paint loss on the sway bar. Don't care. Truck drives really great with these tires, like it was designed for this size tire. Don't notice any road noise, and stopped noticing the slightly less plush feel of the tires after a couple days. The Fox shocks soak it all up anyway.
    - Gas mileage hasn't magically improved after 4k. Weird huh. Don't care. Drive mostly local getting 11-13 mpg if I'm lucky.
    - Was planning to upgrade the head unit + speakers, but I'm rethinking this. At least in the double cab, the sound isn't that bad, and I'm typically an audio snob. Sure it would be nice to have premium audio clarity blah blah but it has CarPlay - super convenient - and with a little tuning of the equalizer it's passable. Will wait for better head unit tech in a few years and rethink this decision. Tough to buy new headunits now anyway with component shortages.
    - Installed the grab handle but don't really use it. I'm a hair under 6 foot.
    - Adaptive cruise control is nice for longer trips. I would really miss this feature if it wasn't there.
    - Get comments almost daily on the color. I was 98% sure on this color pre-buy, now I'm 100% happy I went with it.

Summary - I drive around town with a big grin on my face. Enjoying this truck a lot.

Hit 23432 miles this morning on my way to work. And I would echo every comment you made except
    1. I average closer to 14 mpg (with the Hypertech calibrator)
    2. I haven't installed the grab handle because I haven't really missed it from my 2008 (I'm 5' 10")
    3. I have the CM - my DC was a 2008 and I honestly could have gone either way except for I have fallen in love with the roll-down rear window.

Great write up, I couldn’t agree more with everything you said. Exhaust is much better after a couple thousand miles as well as the power!

Interesting sidebar: I just took my truck to Discount to get those exact tires installed and they claimed they were hitting the UCA. I did a ton of research and tons of Pro owners have put 295/70’s on their stock Pro and had no issues, aside from having to remove the front mudflap. I can’t believe it. So, they put the stock tires back on. Has anyone else had issues with their stock Pro and 295’s? Thanks.

No issues at all with the Falken Wildpeak AT3 in 295/70R18. Stock wheels, no spacers. Originally I had them on the stock suspension and there was ~3/4" clearance to the UCA. Very slight rub on the front sway bar at a FULL LOCK turn, but otherwise no issues. I did have to remove the front mud flap (I didn't feel like doing shims or "heat and bend" work).

Since adding the Westcott front end lift, that slight rub on the swaybar is gone as well...or at least I don't feel it at all.

Gas mileage is similar for me for medium to longer drives (~14-15 mpg) but the quick 5-10 minute drives through the local hills are where it dips down significantly, as would be expected.

They don't know what they're talking about. My local Discount Tire installed them and told me "they look badass and nice color". When ordering the guy did ask "are you sure they'll fit?" and I said "yes" and that was good enough. Can you ask them if you can sign a waiver or something? What are they worried about?
