Bronze on lunar is a great combo. I wasn’t too sure how it was going to look with how “shifty” lunar rock is but I am certainly not disappointed :)

Getting closer, talked to the dealer rep yesterday, got my real VIN number now, truck should be here early next week, downside it wasn’t able to get the tundra stamped bed liner done, so I’m going to have to do the in house dealer bed liner, no tundra stamp, and going to add 2-3 days longer to delivery day now. Decided to do it just so I didn’t have to drop it off again and be without a truck when I decided to do the add on.

last step to the puzzle is just going to be how much they offer me for my Tacoma, if it comes back home with me that day or not.

Why not get it sprayed third party - same day turn around. Probably close to same or cheaper for linex (it was $100 cheaper for me).

There is a few local shops that are recommended, but the main one is moving shops and not available into October, and the other main 2 still require at least a drop off for a day or so, that with family life/work schedule still would be an issue so just easier to bite the bullet and have it done before pick up, it sucks, but end of the day it’s less of an inconvenience for the wife ie less annoyed lol.

    Had an interesting finding.

There's a loop that I drive on regular basis, mostly high way and country roads, on average 120liter of fuel will yield 740km of driving, which is when I fuel up, after installing the shields from talons garage, I got almost 800km with 120liter, under exact same condition, around same speed, it seems the shields help a lot with aerodynamic at high speed, not to mention it quiet down the truck a lot at high speed.

After much back and forth I finally decided to get the oem tow mirrors. I’ve been debating on these since I bought the truck and finally bought them. I like the look of the original mirrors better but these will be great for towing. Personally, i feel like it’s more truck looking with the bigger mirrors. But I had them on my first Tundra from day one so I got used to them

Was out running errands and since I was only a minute from one of the local dealerships I stopped by……and sure enough sitting right out front is a Pro Lunar Rock!

They also had a red SR5 which was 3K over sticker and the Rock is 10K over sticker. Ouch…

Been sitting in the shadows creepin on y'all for a few months. I've had my LR since May and she just hit 2k.

We're going out on her maiden bow hunting adventure tomorrow, hopefully the LR is accented with a bit of red.

The main goal is a bull elk but I've also got deer and bear tags. Hopefully something furry ends up in the back.

    Nice.
My dad's up near Trout Creek, but he'll only be hunting modern firearm for elk and deer.
    Good luck!

You going with bronze reassured me that it would look good on LR. I've been trying to find a set a OG bronze TEs lol

very interesting. I was just looking for shields. Did they work with the OEM TRD skid plate?

I installed TRD sway bars on mine and all I got to say is what a difference. So happy with the way the truck feels now. I'm also creeping on 10K miles so I took in for service. Now just waiting on sliders. They should be built on Tuesday.

Yea it works with OEM front skid, just keep in mind it's darn heavy, I needed a helping hand to hold everything in place when bolting it down, if you get them from Talon's Garage https://www.talonsgarage.com/ (owner is named Shaun) , PM me, the installation calls to remove factory bolts on the skid but I found a work around that's better but needs some fine touches to tighten the factory nuts.

Grass is always greener. I'm here because my dog died, a second adoption failed catastrophically, and I quit a job I loved (they helped me buy this truck as a bonus last year) so I could focus on my mental health and travel more. Mostly I just don't want to spend any time in my Utah apartment, so I work two weeks in Wyoming at a new job on a ranch, and two weeks a month traveling. At least the truck doesn't give me any problems.

You've gone through some tough things in your life and you've chosen to go spend your time doing things you enjoy, even though it involved some risk. I think most people wouldn't have the courage to, or can't for some reason do that. Glad the truck is treating you well. I know I've been driving around with a smile on my face ever since I picked up mine.

I'm sure I'll be popping over to Oregon sometime soon, for hot springs and skiing. Do you think if we got two LR DCs together the world would explode?

Casey beat me to that comment lol. Where you headed @Mac5attack, Alvord desert perhaps? If so you have to do a trip report. I'm in the planning stages of a Spring trip out there.

If you're out here, let's at the very least do a get together. We have plenty of members in the vicinity.
