The day finally came - the LR Pro is home. Gotta say, just feels different driving this Tundra vs my old '08 Limited, which was a great truck but lets face it, 13 years of improvements do a body good. Ready to get started on some minor mods! More importantly, happy it fits in the garage

 

I know how you feel. With almost 300k miles of my ass in the seat of my '08, it was quite the change to jump into the seat of my '21.

 

Your gonna really really really love the Diamondback!

Picked up last week. Waited over 10 months for the DC LR.

Still cannot believe I got it.

Sounds tempting! I’m glad to see you are using yours as it should be used! I picked the truck up in your neck of the woods.

It will see its fair share of miles and upgrades, but for now I don’t want to get it dirty. My v8 LC and blown 4runner can keep me occupied.
I am honestly waiting for hptuners to support the 20+ tundras.

I was thinking the same thing as I trolled cars.com, truecar, etc over the past 10 months. I don't think I have seen more than 30 pop up. A couple of months flew by without seeing one DC LR.

A slc dealer? I made such a fuss at so many dealerships about getting a double cab that I think a few ended up passing through. Ironically I found mine at one of the dealerships I didn't talk to, thanks to a forum member letting me know there was one sitting unclaimed one Monday morning. Ended up only being about 30 minutes to pick her up and bring her home that same day. The more I watched the sites the more I realized that I was super super lucky.

 

Ya a SLC dealer. I find most of the Toyota dealers on the west are scumbags without a care in the world for repeat buyers. So many ties broken and I can easily take my money to another dealer.

Shocking that it was unclaimed. Ultimately it sounds like you made a great choice with the tundra and I couldn't be happier with mine!

 

Hah, funny, I saw quite a few DCs run through slc and I'm pretty sure it was my fault. But also, congrats! I'm so stoked with my truck and about 3 weeks away from my 1 year anniversary. It has overperformed in every way, and I have not a single complaint, not even the mpgs.

 

Got methods in today waiting for their Rock.

 

What is your plan for tire size? Also what offset did you go with?

 

Got 35x12.5x18 KO2s on order. Offset is +25 18x9

 

Just got a call from a dealership here that was allocated a LR. Surprised they are still allocating! If anyone interested I can give you their name, though most people here already have one.

 

Double cab? Are you not buying it?

 

Didn't ask about cab size. I already have one coming in 2 weeks at a different dealership. This one is scheduled to arrive late November.

 

Not sure if this is an accurate info but my dealer said they only receive an average of 1 TRD pro per month.....and they are one of the biggest dealers in the country.
This year for 4R and Tundra they are done and will receive no more.

 

Can't wait to see these mounted, LR on bronze was always what I wanted to do but not many examples out there.

 

Yeah I found the bronze on the Tacoma thread with the LunaRock the bronze looks good. Not many in the tundra LunaRock. The SCS wheels when the F5’s come out in bronze might look pretty bad.

 

The handful of dealers I talked to went one of two ways:

1. We get allocated 1 PRO Tundra at a time, when we sell it, we get another.
2. We don't have any and rarely get allocated one.

That is why I thought it was interesting that that dealer called me today with 2 allocated at once. Good for them I guess, if they get built.
