THIS! lol but yeah, it took me a good 200 miles to get used to it (first vehicle I've owned with it) but after that it easy. I only had to stop for gas once which was nice.

Looks like about 1640 miles. Never been to Washington DC so I guess I'll get a little extra out of it.

Installed the JBA UCAs today. The UCA in a Tundra is soooo much easier than Tacoma’s464FE4A8-BA63-4133-A0ED-E046E2BF524B.jpg561B29A0-992C-48B4-90FE-7F5F3B78B960.jpg

Question I'm having confusion on finding answers. Is the 21 TRD Pro steering wheel the basic urethane like in the SR5 or is it leather wrapped like the upper trims? On the spec sheets it says it's the urethane but I've seen a few photos that makes it seem like it is leather wrapped, are these ones optioned ?

It's leather. Cheap leather, but leather nonetheless. Spec sheet is wrong and wasn't updated after they started building the Pro based off the Limited trim level.

    None... yet
On my trip to OBX last week took my family to Lost Colony on Manteo ended around 11pm and we had hour+ drive back to Frisco with several speed changes along the way. I was super tired after all day on the beach, I set cruise control in 55 mph zone and had traffic in front of me. I totally forgot about adaptive cruise control until we hit a town and it kicked in, needless to say it was very nice to just concentrate on driving and let traffic in front set/control my speed. Only had the truck a month and first I used it, very cool.

There are two USB's under the AC controls already on the Pro. The rear console is a standard 12v port though.

Yeah that's the option it's missing that I want to add. I browsed a while back, I believe they sell that dual USB that you can replace the 12v with right?

I think it's only an option in the SE region. Otherwise you just buy from a SE dealer and swap out. I actually bought a 3D printed panel back there and installed a dual USB and kept the 12V socket.

Found it. The 2nd pic is what I'm referencing. I know from the factory it's below that on the console but I don't want to drill a hole and I'm okay losing the 12v back there for the USB.

I've never seen a factory installed one below the 12V plug - only the one that replaced the 12v socket. Maybe the Sequoia has both in the back?

Here is when I was looking a few months ago they came from the factory if you added the option. I forgot the option name but it was like $200. It included this and a few red usb cables and lightning cables.

I'm gonna bet that's a dealer-installed chop/option only. Or maybe that's how the SE Toyota dealers are doing it. Up here in the NW, it's not even listed as an option.

If you look at the pictures in that post I linked, you can see there's plenty of room to do that with a hole saw and that particular plug. You can buy the plug here:

Oh damn that's nice. According to their instructions it should go right in the old 12v hole without having to drill or widen the hole. That'd be best case scenario. That solves 1 of my gripes.

Yes - that particular one from Sparks (and other SET dealers) should fit in the old hole. 99% of the ones elesewhere (like the one I bought) require the hole to be opened up a little.

And it is possible to avoid using T-Taps on it as well. You just need to get a smaller width male blade for the positive terminal.

That one's pretty easy, but if you also want the power tailgate lock, then it's a bit more involved and I'd recommend doing both at the same time.
I've got links in my build thread (first post hyperlinks all of the individual mods).

That will complicate your bed light installation a little then. The "OEM" (they are only an option in the SE region) bed lights enter the cab through the same grommet that the tailgate power lock does - which is why the official documentation states the two aren't compatible with each other. You'll need to decide how you want to rectify that...easiest is to open up the existing grommet to pass the second loom through it and then retape the crap out of it.

Interesting as I ordered mine with both the cargo LEDs and power tailgate lock as SET port-installed options. I wonder how they dealt with this issue. Gave me no fuss when ordering.

Has to be a regional thing. Every time I built out a TRD in April or May it gave me the option to do both as well as add the rear USB’s. Weird.

+3. I actually got the whole coachbuilder kit but decided I liked the wescott front design better.

Perfect!! I'm putting the Westcott front and +3 shackles on when I get back. Just wasn't sure if it would be level or have some rake. And nice truck man.
This thread is making me consider trading my voodoo blue for a lunar rock.

Got a 6 inch lift today.

Just kidding...it's on the lift getting new tires this morning. A bunch of the techs were oohing and aaaahing over the color. Because it's so damn good looking.

Well, you guys are going to think I'm nuts, but I removed my "old" Llumar tint after not even a month. I could not handle the difference in hue in between the front and the rear windows.

After many hours of over-analysis and multiple trips to the tint shop I decided to go with Xpel XR. Although XR Plus has 10% higher heat rejection, I could not stomach the blue hue of that particular film ; XR has charcoal hue to it, which matches OEM privacy glass better from the film hue perspective, so I got that done. With that being said, I went from 20% just on the front windows to 55% on the windshield and all rear windows, and 30% on the front side windows. I was debating between doing 20% again on the front, but I think I would become a cop magnet, since our limit is 35% all around, or 55% front, if rear is tinted more than 35%. I'm attaching a picture for your viewing pleasure. ;)

Oh... and I got some new tires, too. :)
