I overnighted the signed purchase docs and funds about an hour ago. If I'm lucky, my shipper will be able to pick up Sat and I'll have it Sunday. If not, it'll be next week no matter what. Cannot wait...

A0E790E3-E600-487A-87A6-548B67E472A3.jpg Not a big deal for some but I had to do what Toyota did not do and add my driver side arm pull today. Also I returned my GORhino RB20’s issues with them and did not like how close they fit to the bottom of the doors or should say rockers. Also planning on getting my 285’s mounted tomorrow if nothing come up.

Nice on the door pull. That’s on my list

So were the RB20s. Surprised you returned them. Too close as in your foot didn’t fit or just didn’t like the look??

Hi Budshark, thanks for the compliment. I will try not to make this too long. The first set I received the passenger set on the one section it was wet like some kind of oil and the bed liner texture was rubbing off and different color. So they told me that’s probably what it was. So she sent me a replacement and that was was bent on the bottom which I did not like. So I mounted the driver side and no matter where you put it as far as location close or away I don’t like how the lip sits almost against the bottom door rockers. I want to be able to wash that area and keep it polished. I know some don’t matter but I’m very anal to keeping my truck clean. And this shit they spray on the roads in Pa will eat stuff away if you don’t wash it off. I did not like how GORhino handled things. So I’m going back to the Tyger brand. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the explanation. Definitely understand after two misses it’s tough to stay with them. The explanation about being so close you couldn’t clean behind makes sense. I’m in STL and understand the winter road grime issue. They spray chemicals if it’s snowing 2 states over. I think they buy more than they need and then need to dump it somewhere. It’s usually 2-3 good rains before we stop getting grime and crust on vehicles around here.

Looking at adding the Lomax tri-fold cover to my lunar... if you have one...what color and why? Pics would be awesome too :). Never thought a cover would be such a hard decision.

I don’t have one. Not sure if I’m adding one yet. But if I do I really like the Diamond back. There expensive but nice.

OK....So there IS something in the saying "no sense in being stupid unless you show it...does you no good" Well, after seeing this and getting in the truck and driving up the road (Now have 461 miles on it.. one would think you would notice this before this) that i remembered to look at this...Mine does not have it either:rofl::rofl:.

Diamond Back... that's the route I'm going.
Still don't have a lock on a tire and size.....:annoyed:

This is what the Wife looks like when I mention something else I want:rant:........... Any body else having this problem?? ( Helpful Hint here... Don't ever tell your wife that you can trade her in just as easy for a newer model as you just did for the truck ...and get one with a much more stable operating system):notsure:

I could be wrong in this and maybe I read it wrong somewhere. I thought someone said you are not to put the front and rear sway bars on the Pro. Am I wrong or does it make it better. Curious myself. I like the look. Also Rich where did you buy them and cost to add them for the install. Thanks.

The dealer didn't mention a concern about it at all. They both are made for the Tundra OEM and I haven't read a concern about them both being on anywhere, but I could be wrong. Cost of the 2 combined was just over $400. Dealer charged me $550 to put them on. I enjoyed my day not laying on my back torquing bolts.

This is something I might add down the road. So does it seem to handle the turns much better? Thanks Rich for the info!! Also you don’t need no alignment correct?

The front one is just a beefier version of what is already there…and it’s red. The theory in the recommendation against the rear is that it will reduce your individual wheel articulation if you are actually off-roading. The (anti)sway bar locks and transfers angular sway across the connection similar to how the diagonal on a truss/triangle stiffens the other two sides. When cornering, that’s good. When trying to offroad or race baja, that doesn’t allow your suspension to fully work the way that it was designed. That’s why race cars have them and dune buggies don’t.

thing is, you can fairly easily drop the connecting rods on the rear bar and be back to stock if you’re actually heading off to abuse the suspension, and then reconnect them when back on pavement. I think that in all practicality, few of us ever really take these trucks off-road to the level that you would actually see the need for the full articulation.

Thanks for the great explanation Casey. So this would fall under my category I don’t off road. Mine is mostly used if needed for the winters in Pa.

Yeah. I’ll get one eventually because most of my miles are highway. I never had one on my 2008, but I also notice the lean on corners and for some reason I drive this one harder than the ‘08. ;)

Actually, the alignment seemed a little off from factory. Pulled to the right a smidge. So they did an alignment after the sways installed. Now it's perfect.

    Yes.
The wiring is present behind the blank. The kit includes the sensor that mounts in the blank and the ecu that mounts up behind the instrument cluster. Then you have to get it activated using techstream.

I’ve considered doing it if I run out of other mods. I never got around to it on my 2008.

I saw this too Don. With the softness of the suspension it says it can really tighten it up basically. For turns at high speeds this is probably a good thing. For me I like the softness honestly and when adding the tires I noticed a little stiffer ride just from the tires I put on. I think they definitely help with body roll and cornering but other than that I think most avoid them with this suspension. It’s really just what your taste is for the ride quality. But yea I read this too somewhere.

36D7248E-352C-4C6B-BD17-C9CC65DED335.jpg Ok now I don’t want anyone to get upset with odds and ends sitting around my new Pro. Lol. This is my wife’s spot. Doing a couple of mods. Or little things. Already added the driver side arm pull. Took Casey’s headunit from his build for the screen protector going to add on here shortly. Had one on my 4runner Pro. Adding the same led interior lights he did. I had the same ones in my 4runner. And going to add the black door sill protectors. Tires and side steps this week hopefully!! Oh yeah cannot forget the window tint on Tuesday!!
