Depending on where you are, but yes over MSRP is a thing. Midwest is pretty locked in at MSRP. But, they are getting harder and harder to find.

My local Toyota dealer sold a lunar rock 4runner last winter and my friend had a LR Tacoma who works at the same dealership, but I’ve yet to see a tundra in lunar rock

100%, Additional Dealer Markups (ADMs), are most certainly a thing, especially in places like California and the likes. There are dealerships that sell for MSRP, Toyota of Irving in Texas is one, Longo Toyota in California, and Berge's Riverview Toyota in Mesa, AZ. I know, because I had deposits at them for MSRP quotes. I got those deposits back when an LR became available in my backyard dealership for $4k over MSRP. It went against my usual principles to do it, but it was staring at me and there was a guy frothing at the mouth to buy it if I didn't. Plus, I had no idea where the future of the builds would go, so I said "screw it" and pulled the trigger. I regret that it fed into the behavior, but I don't regret owning my truck without a worry in the world if mine would ever get built. My family has had dinner every night since the purchase. LOL. I really wish you all the best in finding one for the price you are comfy with. I also still love my Tesla Model S. 1st world problems.

 

Man you gonna hate me for this but I paid $7k under MSRP for this one lol. I got injured at work. I was out for 6 months (but still gettin full pay). I was bored so I went see my buddies at my local Toyota dealership and started running dealer trades for them. After about 4 months there, they got this truck in and they talked me into buying it cause they wanted to see what I would do to it since they know me and have seen all my other trucks. Sticker was $59,785 I paid $52,543 STOLE IT LOL

 

I’m gonna be selling my PRO wheels if anybody is interested. When my wheels come in, in a few weeks these will be for sale. I’m in south Louisiana.

 

No hate here, but joy! I love anyone getting a good deal. I have Japanese whisky I didn't pay nearly what most have to pay for it. It all works out. As long as you live within your means, it doesn't much matter.

Yeah man is different down here on the South Coast. Everything is fair priced. No bidding war BS goin on out here. Cost of livin is WAAAAAAYYYYYY cheaper too

Lmao. I just built a 2300 sqft house on 1/2 an acre 5 years ago for $252k. That includes 1/4 fenced in, all granite counter tops, delta faucets, scored and stained concrete, grand foyer brick arch, and all the fancy appliances my woman could dream of. Today it’s worth $310k but we’re happy with it cause we live in Mayberry brotha lol. We out in the sticks but 7 mins from town center.
