Your springs totally flattened? As in, they didn’t return to normal after that load?

Mostly so the dealership doesn't wash it. I'll give it a quick touch-free wash myself, then pull plastics. The dealership will absolutely destroy the paint with swirls/scratches if they let one of their techs wash it. My state requires a front plate, so I'll have to come up with some way to mount it without drilling holes.

I’ve never understood the avoidance of drilling holes for the front plate. It’s a plastic front valence and they’ll give you a molded frame that holds the plate flat that attaches to the holes.
If two holes in that plastic piece that will never be touched again unless you move states are that big of a deal later, you can usually find replacement front pieces in the marketplace for cheap from people that swapped to an aftermarket bumper.
    :notsure:

I get not wanting them to wash it, unless you know the dealership and know they do good work.

I get it, for sure. And if I can't decide later how to mount it, I'm not adamantly opposed to drilling the holes.

I'm hoping to relocate at some point in the coming years, so if I can just hold off long enough... I won't even need it.

Gotcha. I’m inclined to swap bumpers, but no plans on relocating.

There was a slight recovery but not much, I usually keep about 300# on the bed with the rack, tent and various tools.

the icon pack already looks much beefier. I may have to remove my shackles to get the height were I want unfortunately

    Damn.
I was under the truck working on the BSM wiring install and noticed how rather flat they are to start with even...but that is good to know.

So what’s the sequence with the Toyota VIN lookup? It was showing until build date. Then disappeared and still hasn’t returned. Does it stay “gone” until delivery? I liked the comfort of seeing the VIN not error...

Yep..."stays gone". Something changes in the VIN when it is built.... Thinking when i was looking at mine, i think it was either the assembly plant or engine (really don't remember) in the VIN that i had that did not match anything that was listed to decode the VIN.

    Hope that makes sense...:(

Dang. Yeah our stock leafs are pretty weak. Even if they weren’t, 2200 lb in the bed plus the rack and tent is double your payload and probably over your GAWR, too. I’m probably going to add a leaf at least. I don’t carry as much as you, but I still do heavy-ish loads fairly regularly.

Which leaf pack? Ideally for me, it would be medium duty with no lift, as I have CB +2 shackles on mine.

If your original VIN had a letter in the last 6 digits, it was a placeholder VIN. Once it goes to production, the letter goes away and the final production VIN is assigned. If you try to look up the placeholder VIN once it gets its production VIN, you'll get an error. There's a time gap in the system before your production VIN will show up.

There was a time when nobody was able to get them, and now everybody has one. :eek2: I hope they stop production so our trucks are more rare. :D

I agree about stop making. But I think it will help also with only one year production with this color.

Those look like RGs. I was wondering about the size, and depending on the size, rubbing issues.

I’m going to take a guess they look like the stock size. I have my 285/70/18’s waiting to go on my pro soon as it comes in.

Not yet. I was hoping. That would be hard to believe since we are so close our dealerships you would think both trucks would be on the same carrier. But what do I know. Lol.

Please PM me or post your experience with that size. Seems that size has had zero issues with needing mods from what I've seen on research. Looking to get Nittos on mine once I know what the largest size is without doing mods, well maybe with flaps removed. The more I see them the less I like them.

No problem I won’t be thinking about it all day. As long as I know I will be getting it I can wait. My 4runner Pro has been sitting in the garage most of the time to trade in. I’m glad your getting yours!! Let us know what you think of it.
