I don’t have an answer for you but I am getting the OEM PPF for hood, fenders, mirrors, and door cups. It was spec’d on the build and I couldn’t change anything because it was too late in process. I honestly don’t know how much of the hood is covered but hope it gets the scoop. Hoping the OEM covers enough to keep me happy.

I’ve never bothered. Always thought the PPF looked like shit after a year or two, and have always used my trucks as trucks so didn’t see the point. That’s money I can spend on functional mods. ;)

Yeah, I kind of feel the same way. I've never bothered with PPF on any of my vehicles, but this LR Pro is pretty special, so I want to keep it nice for as long as possible.

So... does LR touch up well? :D ...or you've never bothered with that either? :D

I have my 19C7 Z06 completely wrapped with Suntex and ceramic coated well worth it. Looking at my new LunaRock getting done but I think I’m passing in getting the whole truck done. I got one price so far and for the whole thing is like $9000.

If I was to do it again I’d do the front bumper and below the headlights. That’s where 90% of my small chips are on my 2020 sport. The paint is very thin, which is good and bad. Good in that the chips don’t have depth and aren’t as noticeable but bad in that it chips easier IMO.

Haven’t had any spots I’ve noticed that would need touch up.
I had my tow mirror caps painted locally and the match looked good.

Yeah, that's way too much. You could do a better-than-OEM repaint of the whole truck for $9k. I know these prices vary by region/installer, but I was quoted ~$2,000 for the whole front end in Xpel. I thought that was pretty reasonable given the size. The ceramic quotes I'm getting are absurd, however - like $2,500+ not even including wheels and glass.

Yeah I agree at the same place with Xpel just the front and mirrors is like $2500.00 I thought about just the front. My opinion I think it’s better to do the whole vehicle or not at all. I just checked my quote $2950 covers
    Full hood
    Full fenders
    Mirrors and door cups
    Lights
    Full front bumper
    $950 for the rockers.
What’s crazy my Black Vette was done over 2 years ago with Suntex wrap same as xpel. It was much cheaper and that was paint correction full wrap and ceramic coat. I think the prices have just gone thru the roof.

My $2,000ish quote is the same except for no door cups.

Agreed. I have Suntek on my Audi from a handful of years ago and it was very reasonable. Prices have jumped a lot. Strange since more and more people offer PPF these days. It used to be difficult to find installers and only a few manufacturers.

I guess more owners are getting them done and these installers are so busy so they keep charging higher price. It’s crazy.

I'm thinking about buying a DIY kit, but even those are about $1000 for partial front. Insane how expensive things have gotten.

Yup. Pretty much every installer and detailer I've talked to is booked 3-4 weeks out as well. Crazy for sure.

They mark up the DIY kits as well, so the swing including labor isn't much, in my experience. I think the Xpel full front end was like $1,800 for DIY and my installed quote was $2,000. Definitely worth a couple hundred to not have to do it yourself, IMO.

I just got a quote for full front end and it is $2400.00. ...and they are booking for the end of June. Insanity. I may go the DIY route and do a tutorial on it. :D

Well this happened on Easter Sunday at work. One of the staff was delivering food carts to one of our Housing Units and when he left one unattended the wind took it and bam, right into my fender. To see him chasing it on video is actually kind of funny, he felt horrible about it, but what can you do. Second time in the body shop in 5 months, both times truck was parked. Estimate $1800 or maybe buff it out.

OUCH! Sorry to hear such a thing happening to you Sir. I know most of us here cherish our trucks and would hate to see that happen. But then again, that's what insurance is for. I'm sure it will get repaired like new.

Also, as I was waiting for it to get finished while walking around Torrance I saw a LR CM go by on Crenshaw - was it you???? LOL.

Man! That’s rough... are you getting the other mark taken care of while it’s in the shop?

I gotta say though, you’ve got the right attitude. Shit happens, but they can make it right.

The bumper corner was fixed in January. I was probably more sick to my stomach than anything and when I seen it I’m pretty sure I did say shit happens, but on the bright side it gets a full detail again so I guess that’s a plus.

I located and bought a TRD PRO an hour away from my this past weekend. They sold me on the extended warranty for $1,648. How did you get the $1,500 back? Is it really worth it to have?

Picked this up on Sunday. Got lucky and found one TRD PRO 60ish miles away from me a few days prior. Everything else in my area was spoken for.
