Yesterday, I got her dirty for the 1st time. About 50 miles of off-road on a beautiful day of exploring coastal mountains.

Picked this up second hand about a month ago. 22 with 5k miles on her. I love this truck! I had a few raptors one had an engine blow and then tranny acting funny. The second one had electrical issues so never again. This more than scratched my itch. And it’s a Toyota! I never tow new Toyotas(on my tow truck) and pretty much every towed an OLD one, or wrecked! I had a 19 tundra limited crewmax5.5 I had all done up sweet. I sold it to a former employee he ended up trashing it… anyways here I am! I love the Lunar rock.

I also have a Lexus lx570(Land Cruiser in a tuxedo) that is rhino lined lunar rock!! Everyone looks at this car like a super car or space ship it’s hilarious IMG_5703.jpg IMG_5587.jpg

Fortunately it was already done when I bought it. I see the value in it, I love the practicality in it.. but couldn’t get myself to shell out $10k to do it!

I've been quiet around here but not for lack of fun having. Just celebrated 3 great years with my truck right before rolling over 60k. Sticking with my custom mods of rock chips, cracked windshield, and a few dents. Still loving it every mile, but I'd rather not do the math on how much I've spent on gas...

Hahaha yeah, I snagged someone else's brand new take offs around 35k after putting a rock through one of mine. I don't hate them and going up in size isn't important to me versus getting decent gas mileage. I take my truck way more challenging places with stock tires than 95% of the people the upgrade to "fancier" ones  I like to think the driver is the biggest factor.... I rotate in blizzaks for winter, so the OG tires don't bother me during the summer.

Love it. Bone stock Tundras are far more capable than people give them credit for. Of course, lots of guys are more concerned with the "stance" than the capability.

There's a dirt road outside of Nashville that people like to ride (it's very scenic and has quite a few creek crossings). You'll often see a group of lifted Jeeps on 37s riding it on the weekends. My favorite thing is when they pass an old Corolla coming the other way.

Dam with that average mileage. Do you get towed up hills and only drive downwind? I'm consistently at 12-13

gotta be lots of highway time.

Even with the roof rack and larger AT tires and added lift, I can get it up close to 16 if I spend most of my time on the freeway and I'm not being aggressive.

Ok guys the only reason for the post is to show what I went to from my LunaRock Pro. I don’t plan on posting anymore here because it Tundra forum. Also I know Erik who bought my Pro is really enjoying it and making it his own. Just got it back today from the detailer and had some PPF done to it. That was first mod. Also this is a great group of members over here. I’m usually on keeping up with things. Oh yeah other mod Tyger side steps. IMG_4588.jpg

Wife said its a men's thing, it's like peacocks.

    I can get 16-17mpg if I keep it at 65-68mph, I've once hit 19mpg doing 50mph.

I do a good amount of roadtrip drives, off interstate when I can, but windy mountain roads, and regularly hit 19-20 for a full tank. I use 88 most of the time and when I fill my tank it shows 560+ to empty and it's pretty accurate with how I drive.

Good deal on the MPG!.... I can tap on the window of the 19 mpg on a road trip if I drive like a normal person, around home not even close. ( maybe about 16)

Are you still running the OEM Michelin tires? if so what air pressure?

    Drive safe and enjoy!!!!!
