I have to get a better picture. This was sent to me the morning I took delivery. My salesman snapped this when he got there then called me to say come get it..

It poured rain that day and now its filthy.

Well it was only a matter of time before I got my first flat. Just under 30k on the stock Michelins and put a sharp rock right into the middle of the tread. I'm guessing that I'll need to buy a new set of 4. I really don't want to lose much mpg, but would like something a little stronger. I keep seeing bfg ko2s getting recommended. Bigger and prettier isn't a priority, just burlier.

On the positive side, I was out in the middle of nowhere meeting a tinder match to go canyoneering. Pulled the damsel in distress card and he changed it for me :D then we went canyoneering and had a great morning in the desert.

@Mac5attack I’ve had KO2s in the past. Liked everything about them except for one annoying thing. They pick up gravel in the tread really easily, so whenever you’re driving on a gravel road it’s constant pinging sound on the fenders. Not a huge deal though.

I went with Falken wildpeaks this time and after 5k no complaints, other than the price on them keeps going up.

I think the only climate KO2s really shine in is the desert. Their tread pattern is awful for clearing thick mud. This will be an unpopular statement but I think most people get them because of their look and their heritage, but there are a billion better all terrains out there these days. You’ll take an mpg hit with any LT tire, but maybe a bit less for some tamer looking ones. I’ve had “great success” (Borat voice) with Duratracs on my Tundra and with Nitto Terra Grappler G2s on my old 4Runner. The G2s weighed a bit less for their size compared to other LTs. The Duratracs will want frequent rotations to avoid uneven wear. Just my two cents.

That all makes sense. I live in Utah and asked Utah drivers what they liked and heard the ko2, but they mostly drive tacos. Not much mud in Utah, but I spend a good amount of time all over the mountains. Snow rated isn't really necessary as I've got blizzaks for winter. I do think I need to go up to an LT tire but the reality is that I put a lot of miles on asphalt to get to the fun places. I get tire rotations every 5k, would the duratracs need it more than that? I want easy since I drive so much and already feel like I'm always at the dealership for standard maintenence, thankfully they are entertaining guys to hang out with, but it's still a pain.

Falken wildpeaks is another good options that a lot like for multiple terrains, as well as looks.

I do 3k rotations. If you rotate with 5k oil changes, then that’s probably fine. I’m weird; I find it very cathartic to maintain vehicles myself, so I don't mind doing it frequently.

Lots of AT options out there. People seem pretty split on Wildpeaks, if you search around the forum. Lots of guys swear by the Ridge Grapplers, but they’re on the heavier side. Here are specs for Terra Grappler G2s, only 11lb heavier for 33s than the stock Michelins, and this size won’t rub with your stock Pro setup:

Good luck in your search. There are enough options to give you analysis paralysis, lol

I just turned 34k on my Falken Wildpeaks. They are wearing even, make no noticeable road noise, and have been awesome in all of the different conditions and terrain I've had them on. You could put a set of 275/70R18's on (slight upsize from factory) or stick to factory size and do great.

I was thinking more about the $17k bump in base MSRP from my ‘21 Pro. The $15k in dealer “add-ons” is just pure rape

They stick it in dry - and it doesn't matter if you say no because there is always a next in line for these machines.
