One year old!

 

I'm using an iPhone 11 Pro Max. The problem w/the app is it will give me a pop up saying UNABLE TO SIGN IN or some other p[op up saying face recognition is unavailable...

 

The whole Toyota app is pure trash, I gave up on it within the first month of ownership, it constantly logs me out and it was next to impossible to login, when need to remote start, I just stick with the fob now.

 

Mine gives me a pop up on my iPhone 7plus that some users are having trouble and I just touch ok and mine logs in no problem. I will see how it goes in about 2 weeks when I get my new iPhone 13 Pro max. My 7plus is about 5 years old. And no issues at all with any of my Toyota’s I had. I hope none in my new phone.

 

How do you remote start w/the fob?

 

3 clicks and a hold (third click) on the lock button

 

Did you try deleting the app and download it again. Not sure if that would help.

 

Mine app refuses to stay logged in…

 

No issues here on my 13 Pro. I see the same pop up but it logs in fine

 

Works great Day1 and Day2 but then I have to hit register to sign in every 3rd day - it sends a code to my cell and then I’m good for another 2 days….

 

I have a feeling its just a crap developer, the app is very similar to Subaru Starlink, which I had exact same issue with, it constantly logs you out or refuse to log in, this part I wish they took a page from FCA's book, my Ram's remote starter was amazing, you can even pre-set at what temperature you want the seat/steering wheel heater to come on, or seat vent to come on, and when you remote start and open the door, all you had is to tap the start button then it'll let you shift into drive and simply drive away.

 

I have no issues yet with the Toyota app yet but have horrible luck with the Toyota comfort + app. I have to delete my truck and re-add it to get it to work Everytime.

 

Are people still looking for these trucks? There seem to be a quite a few on the interwebs for sale. Perhaps the hype has died a bit?

 

Where are you looking? Some sites have them auto generated and they are already sold or presold well in advance. So it looks like there are lots available when actually there are none.

 

I just did a generic Google search, the obvious places like cars.com, autotrader and what not. Was just seeing if the hype was still there as they are done being made. If folks were trying to cash in or not. You know, things you think about in the office when you should be working

 

Haha understood. Yeah it’s hard to tell from that. KBB still says private party is near 70, but dealers of course want you think the market is soft and buy them from you for 62-64 and sell for 69-74. I was going to sell mine but I decided to keep it.

 

I had a local car buying company offer $66k but I’m trading in this Friday for $64k. It’s less but saves me $4k in tax credit so I come out ahead an extra $2k.

I love the Tundra but I’m getting heavy discount on F150 and I only paid $57k for the Tundra so I’ll take that advantage as I think the market is cooling .

 

Yeah i can definitely see that, sleazy ass dealers. I'm contemplating selling mine. Not sure what to do yet.

 

Good luck. I saw a new looking F150 on the side of the interstate with the hood up when I was traveling for Thanksgiving haha. I thought about downsizing to a Lunar Rock Tacoma - there was one in KY asking 58, they showed me their sheet where JD power trade in was 65-67 and they offered me 62 lol. I was also gonna get rid of the truck and keep my Tesla to be practical, but who needs practical!? Truck stays.

 

I would likely jump on that too. Also looking at F150s. I get a new one every 2 years at work and I'm used to them and like them. The tundra was a total impulse buy because of the LR.

 

I’ve been on the forums for a while and early on saw some electrical issues and transmission flashing but it appears later builds are coming out better.

I haven’t had a flawless vehicle, Tundra included.

but I am rolling the dice but it’s more features and custom what I want for lower price and 0% for 60 months so saving a few more k there.

 

Makes sense. I’m brand loyal until I get a lemon haha.

 

I’ve had 2 F-150s and 5 Tundras (well actually the 1st one was prior to the T100 model) and I will never go back to an F-150. Not selling for $65k (not even $70k) as a new ‘22 Pro will easily be high $70s approaching $80k - No Thanks!! My $54k ‘21 LR Pro is easily the best truck I’ve ever owned and I’m lucky to have it…

Yeah I’m not lol. This is my first Toyota. This will be my first ford. Had GMC, Chevy, Nissan, Honda, and acura in the past.

no one is perfect. Buy backs on GM’s, shit paint in Nissan, vibration in acura, gas diluting into oil on my Honda. Tundra has been best mechanically but have had quite a few initial quality issues.

 

Before I could drive we had a 1990 Toyota Pickup. Sold it to my uncle after 5-6 years and he made deliveries with it and put over a million miles on it.

Definitely agree on the market. If you're going to jump, the time is now. I think once the 22s hit lots, the inflated value of the 21s are going to fall back to reality. What are the specs on the F150?

 

Lariat 502a, 3.73 locker, 5.0 v8, 4x4, sport appearance, power tail gate, pano roof, 2kw, work surface, 360 camera and tow tech.

thinking about taking it and maybe ordering a Tremor but I’m going to drive it a bit and see how it does first.

 

This will upset the jumpers!! But my mechanic told me more than once he does a lot of mechanical work on the other brand truck. Toyota’s all routine maintenance. He has been doing my routine maintenance and mods for years on my vehicles. Yes he has done repairs on them but not like the others.
