Hey LR crew! Long story short. I had a 2012 Raptor that I loved and didn't want to part will. However things happen.. a driver ran a red light on 08/17 and t-boned me and totalled my truck. The other driver and I were fine. I contacted my local Toyota dealer that is great to work with and had a LR Tundra on the way. (Being a car/truck guy I know how amazing these trucks are and have always wanted one) The truck coming in was already sold. 5 days later he calls me and says another had dropped in his Q and wanted to know if I wanted it. Yes please!! So, built 09/23, picked up 10/08. So happy!! Already been to the beach and enjoyed a mountain biking/camping weekend!

Finally picked it up! Been looking for a vehicle since my car was totaled (by a tree branch...) in June. Put my deposit down Sep 3, built Oct 8, delivered Oct 20. Long journey, but man am I excited.

Wife had to do the purchase as I am stuck in Georgia. Haven't even seen it in person yet, but my wife says pictures don't do the color justice. Can't wait to see and drive it.

Anyone know any / have any good experience with auto shippers? Need to get the truck shipped from MD to GA.

Spent 2 days and several hours trying to install this absolute POs and waste of money cover by bakflip. The fit is so poor, the tailgate wasn’t even close to being able to close. The rails sag so much causing them sit lower than the top of the tailgate. I tried several things to make it fit right, gave up and tossed it back in the box. I’ve had several bakflip covers and done the instal many times and this is the first time I’m left baffled. Either it’s truly a POS cover or they sent me the wrong parts. I’ll never buy from them again, and if you have alternative brands please let me know.

I’ve reached out to the one guy that posted similar info a couple years ago, but no reply.

 

October 8th was the last day of production, from my understanding. dweller yours may be the last! And a DC to boot!! Congrats!

 

MD to GA is just a nice stretch of the legs.

Is that the original or the X4S one ?

Finding a brand outside that far right logo might be hard. Truck Hero is a parent to a lot of the popular tonneau brands like Bak, Undercover, extang, Retrax, truXedo, and roll n lock. I have the undercover ultra flex on mine. Install was a breeze and works great. Not 100% water proof but I think it could be 99% with a tail gate seal kit. Having the OEM bed mat helps as the water goes under that.

 

Hello from the eastern shore of MD, I have a 2021 TRD Pro, Leer HF650M, rubber bed matt, Maxxis Razr MT 295/70/18, LED’s through out and soon to be AMP running boards… and window tint.

She has 500miles as of today, and Ive had her about 2 weeks. I realized today I should gave gotten vanity tags “MLC” for mid life crisis, but oh well!

Yes ,i am torn between the 22 tundra and the new 22 gmc sierra. I know it will be frowned upon if i go with the Sierra. But the 3.0 diesel is hard to pass up.

 

I'd sell my LR for a 22 Sierra but not a 22 Tundra if I had to choose. But I haven't had a good run with GM so I'm keeping my 21 LR for a while prob. Might be the first vehicle past 2 years of ownership lol

 

At first I read this as “sienna” instead of sierra and thought damn, you’d take a mini van over the new tundra, someone really doesn’t like the Redesign, hah.

 

Now that my fluid film is done underneath on my LunaRock. Next is the cat plates to be installed. Then next is the audio system to be replaced.
