    Hi
If everything works out this week, I will soon be starting my adventure to find me a Tundra!
I plan to have around $20k to spend. I would like a double cab 4wd. My question...would a lower mileage 2005/2006 be better than a higher mileage 2007/2008? I had a 2006 and loved it. Never had a 2nd gen. I don't put a lot of miles on it as I have a company vehicle. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Hoss

What are your plans for the truck? Towing?
Do you need a bigger truck, bigger cab?

Real difference would be the 2008 with it being a 2nd gen (body, cosmetics, design) and bigger engine selection.

If you don't need the bigger cab, bigger bed or power of the 5.7L then I would go with the 05 or 06. Great trucks. Lower miles on those would be better than higher mileage 2nd Gen.

Seems obvious but see if you can spend some time driving a 2nd gen. The 5.7 6/speed is more powerful & faster but the 1st gen feels more nimble on the road and on the trail. If my 5.7 SC didn't have the power I'd tell you my 1st gen was more fun to drive.

20 Grand ? I would definitely get a 2nd Generation. 2007, 08 or 09 (4wd) with low miles for that price. Look around. You will find one.
