Most aftermarket suspension parts look and operate like OEM. Yes, but they don't last. Been there and done that.

ok...so I just did my lbj's with new oem but didn't but I didn't use new bolts. I never really thought about replacing them. Please tell me I can replace these one at a time while on the truck vs. taking the whole thing apart again?

    It's good
Put them in one at a time tight, then torque appropriately is what I would do. I may be corrected - but that should be no problem , IMO

Yes, you can. But torque as you go.

I did LBJs and didnt do new bolts. I cant say it was right, but I can say nothing has gone wrong. 15k miles so far. YMMV. I have periodically checked the 4 bolts. They don't seem to be loosening.

You can always mark the LBJ bolts with paint pen for a quick visual. Another good practice that Dan recommended is throwing a torque wrench on them every oil change.

If you can get them to torque. If not, start with Noah's method of gradually increasing the torque spec. Get it to click at 25, 35 etc. That's what I had to do.

My 16yo son and I just finished the install of OEM LBJ from McGeorge Toyota on his 06 2WD Dbl Cab. Thanks to this thread for the free shipping coupon code. We also had front rotors turned and installed Hawk LTS pads on front end. We removed the stock coilovers and will be dropping off at a local shop to swap over the stock coils onto Bilstein 5100's, set in middle slot. Waiting on new tophats from Wheelers (should arrive on Tuesday) to also have installed along with shocks. So, right now the truck is on jacks, until we get the shocks assembled. All is reassembled on the front end now. When I install the coilovers, what will I need to unbolt/loosen to have enough room for the now longer coilovers? Lower control arms? Swaybar? I appreciate any feedback. I bought new in 06, then sold to my brother in 15' (with 75k miles), and just bought back a couple months ago (now right at 150k miles). Been working on it since for my boy. Pic shows his Tundra on right, mine in middle and momma's Sequoia on left.

    Nice trucks!

I would disconnect the sway bar links from the lower control arms. Good chance those will want to fight you. When I first put in longer coilovers, I was able to pry down on the lower control arm enough to get the shock in. I didn't have to touch the cam bolts. I'd definitely try that first.

If you can't get them in that way, you can mark your cam plates on the LCA and the frame to keep your alignment as close as possible, then loosen the cam bolts to allow the LCA more movement.

    Thanks @des2mtn!

I'll try what you recommended when reinstalling the coilovers and post some pics afterwards.

Ordering lower ball joints today for my 2004. In my cart Ive got
    Part Number: 4334039595
    Part Number: 4333039825
but what is the correct part no for the bolts that go with these? Is it
    90105-A0187
    or
    90105-12316
    ?

90105-A0187 is the part number for the 8 bolts. That's what I used.

No, exact parts, they are fine. Just wanted to be sure I was torquing them enough.

Edit: whenever I order parts, I put in my VIN

I don't have issues with my LBJ bolts loosening due to nature's loctite...rust.

Unfortunately they both say they fit my VIN and we have 2 people saying they used 2 different sets of bolts. Flip a coin or buy both I guess.

I bought a bolt X 8. I'll see if I can find my part number, but I'm wondering if it is numbers for a set of 8 vs. 1

I had to buy a bolt x 8 as well and entered my VIN. They were identical to the ones I took out.

I just pulled up a parts diagram from Toyota and both part numbers were listed. There's apparently two more part numbers that fit here? (90105-10505 & 90119-10933). @NWPirate 's picture below shows that 90119-10933 obviously isn't right though...

Looks like have your vin and look them up, or call the dealer if you like. Sometimes same parts have different numbers due to updates or whatever. Bolts don't change a whole lot in construction.

I'm in the same boat looking for the right bolt, I think there are multiple options for different years. AC, DC and Sequoia. I bought these a while ago but they are clearly undersized, and have a loose washer. My Sequoia bolts have a 17mm head.
