I have been reading threads about these getting stolen, our rigs are prime it appears. We also have a highlander. I am getting some 5/8 industrial cable rem's from a friend about 3' long. My plan is to weld them to the pipes leading into and away from the cat. These would be very difficult to cut with a sawzall. I saw where some people use a piece of rebar but the cable would be even more difficult. Any opinions or ideas Please.
    Thank-yu

Me personally, I like the skid plate option. I don't have any problem spending $300 for a skid plate when it's a 40K truck and replacement of the pipes with 4 cats would be almost 4K.

I did check into the skid plates but several of them still leave the cat exposed. Do you have any suggestions on which ones really cover them well?

I had the oil & filter changed on the 2007 today... the dealer had 7 new trucks stripped of their cats the other day. Their replacement cost is $2600 per truck.

The lower the vehicle, the less likely your cats will be stolen.
